1/10/40 Father [
1005]'s letter:
Dear Edgar:-
Just a note tonite to ask for a general check reading for the
Kid. She seems to be getting along O.K. so far but just want
to check up on her diet etc., since [
23] won't change one bit
from the last formula prescribed by the Reading - and we
don't want to do anything to throw the Kid off.
Please excuse the briefness of this note but it is pretty
late and past time for little [
1005] to be in bed. [
23] and
[
2015] are both snoozing soundly. Regarding a few questions
in the Check -
1. Is this body getting sufficient calcium in the diet?
2. Is the milk formula now being used O.K.?
3. Is the body getting sufficient elements from present diet
for best development of teeth & bones at this stage of body
development. Would you suggest any changes?
4. Please add any suggestions for betterment of conditions in
this body?
5. Any suggestions regarding teething period?
If possible please ask the questions verbatim.
All the folks here doing fine. Will write you a long letter
at first opportunity. All folks here send love to all your
folks.
Always [
1005]
P.S. If possible, please get this in first group of check
readings.
REPORTS
2/14/40 Letter from [
23] to EC: "...She's [
2015] now 26 1/4
inches long and weights almost 16 lbs. I felt certain her
reading would suggest the vegetables, etc. Incidentally we
both thank you half to death for that reading, for ALL her
readings. She's one you can point to with pride as a fine
example of 'reading raising'. Every single step of her
development - before and since her arrival - has been guided
by the readings. She's never had a word of - or any need of
- an M.D.'s advice. You never saw anything blossoming out
like she is..."
4/01/40 Letter from [
1005] to EC: "...Edgar, we would
appreciate your giving a check reading for the young lady
[
2015] when the opportunity arises. Am enclosing some
questions on some that are worrying us. You know, she is
a 'reading baby.' All that Haynes [Phillip Haynes, M.D.]
ever did was deliver the child. He is absolutely no help in
raising her. She has gotten along fine so far. Hasn't had
even a cold all winter..."
