This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of December, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [2043], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes. Conditions are not so well. There is still so much of the poisons, as we find, attempting to be carried through the system, - from those conditions as we have indicated, of the inflammation through the alimentary canal, as well as the accumulations that cause the greater pressures upon locomotories in those areas indicated.
3. As we find, the Epsom Salts Baths would be the better manner to eliminate these poisons. These we would take just sufficiently often so that it does not overtire or overweaken the body, - that is, about twice a week; provided there is a general rubdown afterward with pure grain alcohol, - not rub alcohol nor denatured, but grain alcohol - for the body may gain strength from the food values in grain alcohol, by the absorption and by the perspiratory and respiratory reactions.
4. Thus we will find the better conditions.
5. Also, for the excruciating pain, we would be more consistent in the efforts to gain the better reaction from the Cobra Venom, - rather than overgiving, or undergiving. Follow the general reactions, and don't give it each day, but every second or third day.
6. These offer, as we find, the better conditions for this body.

8. (Q) Would it be possible to outline more in detail the proper diet, keeping in mind that within the last 3 years I have had 2 very severe internal hemorrhages from a duodenal ulcer, - in addition having a gastric ulcer?
   (A) As we find, we would have plenty of fruit juices, - orange, grapefruit, lemons; especially mixing a little lemon with the orange juice. At other periods, but not at the same meal with the citrus fruit, nor even on the same day, we would have the whole wheat cereal, or the combinations of wheat and rye, or steel cut oats, or all such. Have plenty of beef juices, - not the meat itself; and plenty of liver and liver extract. This especially should be ground, and all the juices retained in same when it is prepared for the body. Whole wheat breads, Graham crackers or Graham bread or the like, - all of these are the better for the body.
9. (Q) How can I obtain better relaxation, especially for rest at night?
   (A) As we have indicated, if there is the persistent effort to gain the better reaction from the Venom, better relaxation may be gained.
   These offer the better outlines, as indicated.
   We would do that.

1. 3/19/40 [2021]'s letter to EC:
   My dear Mr. Cayce,
   I regret to report the death of Dr. [2043], on 15 Mar. 40.
   Your readings were interesting to me, not only from my close acquaintance with the Dr., and familiarity of your work, but also because I am sure the diagnosis of the chronic arthritis would be of great assistance to medicine, since they are so completely in the dark about that affliction.
   On the occasions when he followed the instructions he was greatly benefitted. It is regrettable that his condition made it often impossible or impractical to carry out the directions. If you refer to the record, you will notice the recommendation of epsom salt baths. The several taken, gave Dr. [2043] particular relief.
   By communication, we learned in advance of his approaching death. It has been no end of solace to know that he was met and ushered into another sphere by friends.
   Should you at all be able to use any of the material I have gathered in my psychic research, please let me know. I have pursued the mastery thru the aid of communication with masters. In the course of this pursuit, I have rambled a little to the side on occasion, and may have gotten into fields of interest to you or to other members of the Ass'n.

   Dear Mr. [2021]
   Thank you very much for yours of the 19th - sorry to hear of the death of Dr. [2043], but very nice to hear the suggestions helped when undertaken. Am most pleased of all that you have evidence of his being ushered in by friends. What a solace that is to believers - and what a bugaboo to unbelievers.
   Will be most happy to have any material Mr. [2021] that you would care to send us. We hope to have and present just as much as we can, for the help of our fellow man.
   Truth - of the continuity of LIFE. Hope of and for a hereafter - as some might put it, when reality it is just another consciousness, in the same stream of Life, a different dimension, or what have you.
   Thank you for this as a record and any data that you would care to send us copies of. Each member of the Assn. is asked to contribute what they can for the help of others.
