TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions that may be submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2057].
3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions which prevent a normal reaction through the general physical forces of the body.
4. These as we find, in the main, have to do with the circulation; and, more specific, with the functioning of organs as related to eliminations and assimilation in the body.
5. Then, these are conditions as we find them with this body, [2057].
6. In the blood supply there are those indications of there being a slowing of the circulation through the return circulation to the heart's activity.
7. This produces a gentle, but definite, expansion of veins; and is indicating that there is a disturbance with the activity of the spleen AND the liver.
8. We find that this arises from two sources: the periods in which the body mentally and physically passed through a great deal of anxiety, mental anguish, some resentment, some animosity, some conditions where there was a great deal of the exercising of the emotions; also those periods in which there was not the proper attention given to the activity of the liver, as related to ITS functioning for secreting.
9. Naturally, then, this condition has been brought about, through the body.
10. The effects at times have been a great deal of annoyance, - as a fullness through portions of the body; a dull, mean headache at times; the lack of ability to sleep or to rest properly, the lack of retaining or gaining the proper resuscitation even through those periods when rest or sleep is attempted, and the body oft feels on arising much worse for the attempts to gain rest from sleep or resuscitation of the vital forces. Gradually this wears off at times, and at others causes a fullness through the digestive forces, or the sympathetic reactions to the digestive system.
11. There is a sparse activity at times of the kidneys, at others a frequent yet not so much an activity; at other periods these cause a great deal of disturbance.
12. These, as we find, are the conditions to be met in the present.
13. First, then, as we find - we would take properties in series that would work to stir the activities of the liver; and also we would consider the spleen in the properties to be given.
14. We would begin first, then, with taking small doses of ALCAROID after each meal; about a quarter to half a teaspoonful dissolved in a little water, and then a full glass of water added to be taken. Take this three times each day, or whenever the meals are taken, you see, - a few minutes - ten to fifteen minutes - after eating. This is to make for easier, better and quicker eliminating of those properties from the stomach itself that are taken as food values, - so as to form less of this fullness that has occurred so often after attempting to eat. We would take this regularly for at least four or five days.
15. On about the third day begin also with taking the CAROID and BILE SALTS tablets. Take one after the morning meal, one after the noon or lunch meal, and two after the evening meal - just a few minutes after eating, see?
16. The next day - or after this has acted thoroughly - have a High Colonic Irrigation, to remove all the tendencies for this slowed circulation through the alimentary canal, and especially the colon, to purify the system.
17. Then keep up the ALCAROID for the next two or three days.
18. After that, rest for about three days, and then repeat the whole procedure.
19. And then (but not until the second series of the ALCAROID, followed with the second series of the CAROID and BILE SALTS!) we would have at least ten to twelve deep manipulations osteopathically administered, with special reference to the stimulating of the ganglia along those areas of the upper dorsal and through the cervical; coordinating - about every other treatment - the 9th dorsal and the lumbar and sacral areas, with those adjustments made.
20. Also when the osteopathic treatments are begun, but not until then (for the system should be cleansed thoroughly first, by the taking of the two rounds of the properties indicated), we would begin taking each evening before retiring about a cupful of heated milk (raw milk, preferably), in which there would be stirred a level teaspoonful of Pure Honey. Do not boil the milk, but just let it come to the heating point, and then stir in the Honey.
21. Then, as to the diet:
22. Keep to those things that are free from much of fats, or too much of sugars, or those natures that carry large quantities of these.
23. Have plenty of cereals (both dry and cooked), and plenty of fruit juices; though do not take citrus fruits AND cereals at the same meal!
24. Eat plenty of well-cooked vegetables. And let one meal each day consist principally of raw, fresh vegetables. Many of these may be combined and used with or without dressing, to suit the taste of the body; as lettuce, spinach, celery, tomatoes and the like. Let such a raw salad form the basis of at least one meal each day.
25. Do these, and we will find we will bring better conditions for the body.
26. Because meats or other foods were not mentioned does not mean that these should not be taken at all, but do not make a meal upon same; take these rather sparingly. Let the greater portion of the diet consist of those things indicated.
27. Do these, and we will bring the better forces, for we will remove the great strains on the body and PREVENT a great deal of trouble later that would be of a more specific nature, - in the forms of the poisons as would be settling through many portions of the system.
28. Ready for questions.
29. We are through for the present.

(See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Hydrotherapist, or one who is to give the High Colonic Irrigation.
See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Osteopath, when you are ready for these. If you will let us know the nearest big town to Pleasantdale, we will tell you whether or not there is an Osteopath near you who has had experience with following the Readings. It may be that you can get the High Colonic and the Osteopathic treatments from the same individual. Be sure to follow all suggestions AS given, and in the ORDER given.
At your convenience we would appreciate a history of your case to the time of obtaining the Reading. This is valuable for our files, so we may have something with which to compare our information.
Also if you choose an osteopath in your section, let us know his name and address, so we may put him on our mailing list.)
