9/19/28 Father's letter:
Dear Mr. Cayce;
I am wondering if you couldn't possibly squeeze in a reading
for [
2060]. Just before he went to camp this summer he
contracted a rather heavy cold, which he hasn't been able
to throw off. Since his return about Labor Day it has been
worse. We have had the osteopath give him some treatments.
They have helped some & I wouldn't be troubling you at all,
except that every night about 2 o'clock or thereabouts he
wakes up with a violent fit of coughing, a regular paroxysm
of coughing.
He has always been troubled with bronchial colds & it would
be a God-send if we could eliminate them. We would like
to know 2 things; first what to do to ease those coughing
spells, and secondly what course to follow to overcome this
tendency to colds.
If you could manage to give a reading at once, you may be
sure we would follow directions to the letter. Mrs. [
298]
has a great deal of faith in you & so have I.
Later on, we want to have a life reading on [
2060] & also
one on his schooling (college & life work) etc. Would prefer
however to have that here so that we might ask questions
ourselves.
I certainly hope you can oblige in this instance.
Best regards to all
Sincerely [
2056]
P.S. Am also enclosing check which I promised some time ago.
REPORTS
9/28/28 Father's letter:
My Dear Mr. Cayce;-
Please pardon the delay in writing to thank you for your
promptness in answering our call for help. We are following
directions & are confident things will work out O.K. So far
[
2060] has shown a marked improvement. He had already had
several treatments which had helped him considerably.
He hasn't had a coughing fit for the past 4 or 5 nights; so
that has been a real gain.
I have been rushed to death here at the store & at home or I
would have written sooner. With best wishes for yourself &
the Work, I am,
Gratefully yours [
2056]

REMARKS
(You will please state in the space below how near, in
your opinion, reading fits your condition, as you know it
yourself, and if you expect to carry out the suggestions
made for the improvement of your health.
So far as I am able to judge, I should say that the
reading covered conditions as they exist; at least it [was]
reasonable and plausible. The suggestions will be followed
out and results reported. [
