Mr. Hugh Lynn Cayce, Manager

Dear Hugh Lynn:
This is just to say thank you for the pamphlet reading and
for the privilege of attending the Association Congress - and
to ask you what you have in mind for the Christ Ministry
Pamphlet.
As you know, time is limited now for the work on the
pamphlets, and since I want to give my best to the second
pamphlet as I have the first, I must needs know your plans
for it, its length, its purpose, and the subject matter of
its contents, similarly as you indicated to me before I put
the Essene pamphlet in shape.
You doubtless have in mind just what effect you wish to be
made by the pamphlet, how it may tie up with the work of the
Association, and you also know about how long, how many words
or approximately how many pages you wish to have in the
pamphlet to meet the needs of the expense of publication.
The Reading on the Christ Ministry Pamphlet, while answering
other details, particularly regarding some of the subject
matter, left the purpose, length, and arrangement of material
entirely up to the Association, and even indicated that the
questions I asked in order to get the viewpoint of the Force
or Forces giving information, were foolish questions; so it
seems that we will have to do this largely as we are guided
inspirationally. I can follow my own ideas about the
pamphlet if need be, but I am working for the Association and
feel that they have their ideas that should be followed, and
I am willing to operate that way at present. Please indicate
what you wish done in this matter.
There is a possibility that occurs to me, and it is that we
prepare a short and a long pamphlet on the Christ Ministry
from Birth until the close of His ministry, taking as
material the characters and events from the Cayce Readings
during this period, giving what elucidation possible from the
religious and philosophic implications from these particular
Readings - with the purpose of strengthening the Christian
life, illuming the Path, and giving supplementary and
confirmatory information to that which we have in miniature
in Scripture.
At your earliest convenience will you please let me hear your
plans for the Christ Ministry pamphlet which I hope to get in
shape shortly after I hear from you - the material is all
ready to arrange and write in final form, according to your
word.
Also, since there was no date open while in Virginia for
check Physical Reading, would you suggest a time convenient?
I will forward questions when you are able to do this. Mail
is slow in ... and it would be well to allow possibly five or
more days to reach me & as many for reply to reach you.
Sincerely, [

2067]'s letter to EC:
..., Vermont
Dear Mr. Cayce:
Just today a review copy of THERE IS A RIVER was sent me by
Henry Holt Company to review. I will get at this at once.
If you see Hugh Lynn please tell him. I do not think he
wanted me to answer the last note, unless it was to say I do
not think he needs to write to anyone about the review I am
to write. I think they will be interested in the book and
that is all that is necessary.
Now I have just finished the first draft of that wonderful
book based entirely on your Readings, JESUS, THE ESSENE. It
will need to be rewritten just as soon as you can get me the
Readings with the questions I have sent in to you and Hugh
Lynn. I want to ask help on the few questions, mainly for
names, in the list I am herein submitting. If you have to
cut out anything, please cut some of the questions on Judy,
as I think the Christ ministry will be the most important
part of the book, although she will have a very important
part. I am very sure you will like the book when it is
finally in its right form. It is an immense work to get in
all the characters in the Readings in their proper places and
to make them live as they should in a connected narrative in
the Life of Christ. I have been working at it now for some
three or four years I think - all the time I possibly could
get - sometimes a whole year at a time. Perhaps you will be
thinking what you want to do with this work, and maybe you
will want to seek guidance in the Readings. I think Holt
will take it, and I think we should not let it lie around,
but as soon as finished get it off to the proper place, don't
you? It is a book that all the Christian world should
consider valuable beyond expression - it answers the
questions and gives the information that most people are most
interested in.
Will you try as soon as possible now to get the Readings on
the remaining lists of questions I have asked you to help me
on? If you were to write the book you would realize there
are hundreds of details I should know about not given in the
Readings, but I think with the questions that I have asked,
the main gaps in the information will be filled in, and that
the story will be most instructive.
Hugh Lynn wrote that you and he had just returned from a
four-day trip to New York. I hope you had good results.
The book I am writing should sell very well and fill a
universal need. The material in the Readings is wonderful,
but difficult to arrange as it is fragmentary and scattered -
it is a tremendous work - but the characters and the events
are now quite familiar to me. The story will be a long one.
The people at Holts like your biography. They said it is
"one of the most remarkable biographies we have ever had the
privilege of publishing." I agree that it is very remarkable
and most helpful.
Ever sincerely, [
