Mr. Edgar Cayce -
Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Cayce:
My dear little friend Dr. [
2067], has written me about her
visit to you - enclosing literature to bear witness to relate
she had written regarding your service to such as I. She
believes that I too, can be healed of an illness that has
held me in bondage for several years - causing me to give up
all active practice in the field of law & social welfare
work.
As for the treatment I have had - I have relied upon
chiropractic; a natural diet - & a study of mental, spiritual
healing which has been my constant reading matter.
Now - I am without sufficient vitality to read, concentrate
or even remember one word from another. It is an effort to
even try to express my thots - or even write a letter. Most
of my time is spent in bed. It is a maddening state for me
to be in for I have been so mentally alert - doing much
mental & creative work such as writing - lecturing -
pleading etc.
The chiropractor finally told me he could do nothing more -
I could either go to a hospital for an operation (for what
he did not tell me) or I could make the best of it. This
later advise I took & have been making the best of it for the
past five months - then came this letter from [
2067] & hope
came that any prayer for higher guidance & help could be
given me.
Naturally, any income is practically nil - & any service
you rendered me could only be paid for at the present by
small installments. I feel certain that with your clear
sightedness in to things that mystify many - I can clear up
what is causing all my trouble.
With all my heart I hope you will see your way clear to help
me back into the service of my fellow man.
Awaiting your advice - & course of procedure - I am
Humbly - Miss [

1. After an illness of seven years - I was taken violently
& desperately ill about fifteen months ago. A chiropractor
surgeon happened to be here in the building & a friend called
him in to help me. A week later he performed a bloodless
operation - he said it was a tumor. For several months I was
not out of bed. Since getting up & about - I have gone down
in strength & energy & it is with difficult I perform even
the simple tasks of the needs of the day. Am compelled to
remain in bed most of the time. Summed up - my trouble is -
complete lack of vitality & energy.
2. My mind is most active & alert - have a great urge to do
things but am denied expression for lack of physical energy.
Mind is like a sieve - It retains little or nothing of late -
of what I read - see or try to create.
Unable to memorize - write or express myself fluently.
QUESTIONS
1. What is the cause of my physical & mental depletion?
2. What must I do to regain my physical health & perfect
mental activity?
Most humbly submitted for diagnosis - [
