4/13/41 Questions submitted by father:
1. Has there been further improvement in [
2084]'s condition
since the last reading?
2. Should the same treatment and diet be continued or should
any change be made? Should the same dosage of Atomidine
(1 drop weekly) be continued?
3. She still is troubled with mild constipation. In addition
to the occasional use of Petrolagar (plain) should Konsyl be
used?
4. She has, for some time, been troubled with an unsightly
and itching breaking out (rather like pimples) on the upper
part of her back between her shoulders. What causes this,
and what should be done to rid her of the trouble?
5. What is the best way to keep a supply of the Jerusalem
Artichokes which she uses?
6. For some months past she has been very irregular with her
menstrual periods, usually quite late. She is at present
nearly a month late. What is causing this? Is it injurious
to her and does it aggravate her other trouble? What should
be done about it?
7. Due solely to financial reasons, I have been unable as
yet to have her teeth straightened. Is the delay injurious
to her in any way?
8. She still complains of occasional pains and "queer
feelings", sometimes in one side or the other just above
her hips, sometimes in her stomach and abdomen, and
sometimes roving in nature. What causes these and what
may we do for them? Should she rest or lie down when
they appear?
9. We have been most anxious for her not to worry or brood
about her trouble. Should she or should she not at her age
be informed as to its nature and potential seriousness?
10. Barring, of course, any sudden alarming development,
when should we come back for more information? Our concern
regarding her condition is naturally ever present.
