1085]'s letter to EC:
Yes I am feeling better and look forward to continue to
improve.
When first I read September 11, 1944 it seemed a mistake it
was so far ahead. However, please reserve the date and if
possible, push it ahead some if anyone drops out.
Date of birth, June 29th, 1874, when certificate was filed no
name was given. Later was baptized [
2085] which was changed
at College, substituting E for A in first name [
2085],
married name, [
2085] (Mrs. [
2085]) divorced several years
later.
Place of birth, Brooklyn, New York.
If more data is needed let me know.
Will I be reminded of the time of life reading or do I just
keep it in mind.
Have not yet received data so do not know the charge for
reading but will send later.
11/20/43 [
2085]'s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I am writing to ask which is the correct date for my life
reading?
On October first you gave the date, afternoon September 11,
1944 and in letter of October 18th you gave September 9, 1944
in the afternoon from 3.30 to 4.30. Which is it?
I also wish to ask if I should send the application now with
check for reading or wait until later?
I am improving and hope to be entirely healed of my limiting
conditions soon.
It is a wonderful work you are doing and, may you continue to
be helpful to others.
I am glad to own "There Is A River" but gladder to have had
readings long before book was published.
With every good wish,
Sincerely yours, [
2085]

Dear Sirs:
I am writing to inquire if you would like a contribution to
your library of the type of books published by the Elizabeth
Towne Company of Holyoke.
Such books as "The Guiding Power" or the "Plan of the
Universe" by White, "Attaining Your Desire" Behrend [?],
"Psychology of Prosperity" by Ellsworth [?], "Self Help
Thorugh Mental Science" by Harris, etc., etc.
Most of the books are small many are paper covered booklets.
I should be very glad to mail you a dozen, perhaps more, if
you so desire.
With all good wishes,
Sincerely yours, [
2085]

Dear Mrs. [
2085]
Please pardon me for not replying to yours of the 1st sooner,
but I have been away from the office for some little time,
and am just getting back to taking care of the
correspondence.
We assure you we would be very glad to have any of the books
published by the Elizabeth Towne Company. Most all of these
have proven, and are proving, to be of help to someone. Not
that we want to draw comparisons, but we know that what
answers to one doesn't always answer to another, and if we
can have that that will help anyone find themselves and their
closer relationship to God, that is what we hope to do.
Thanking you, and hoping that it will be possible for us to
receive the books, I am, with every good wish
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce
