TEXT

HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2088].
As we find, the general weaknesses - and the more specific disturbances which affect the circulatory forces - are the lack of ionization, and hindered eliminations; owing to the slowing of the circulation and to general conditions in the body.
These then, as we find, are the conditions with this body, [2088]:
The circulatory forces indicate hindrances in eliminations, - as the lack of the carrying off of conditions which arise from energies, as well as the lack of the sufficient elasticity in the muscular forces to function normal.
These are indicated in the conditions which exist in the circulatory forces in the vegetative nerve system especially, - and thus the conditions in the face, the neck, the arms, the general twitching, as well as the conditions in the circulation in the neck and head, face, from this connective force of these disturbances in the upper cervical and dorsal areas.
As we find, then, - aids to these will be those things which will produce the better assimilation of that taken as food values.
And in the foods let there be taken more of the raw vegetables. Not that these are to be the whole diet, but at least once each day the principal portion of the meal should be of such as lettuce, celery, carrots, spinach and the like, - these prepared either with the oil or salad dressing. Then have the rest of the diet consist of the easily assimilated foods; cereals, fruit juices and the like. The raw vegetables may be either grated or ground, whichever is the preferable manner of preparation.
At least once each day take the ALCAROID as an aid in digestion and elimination.
Also each day we should have a gentle massage, especially through the areas between the shoulders - from the waist to the base of the brain, but particularly between the shoulders - with an equal combination of Peanut Oil and Olive Oil. This as we find will make for a better stimulation.
Use also the Radio-Active Appliance as an equalizer and as an aid to re-ionization of the circulation, and as an aid to rest and quiet. Take this at least twenty minutes each time, or thirty minutes each day, and it may be taken twice a day; or it may be taken in the evening for an hour.
Do these, and as we find we will bring better conditions, better influences and forces about this body, [2088].
And let the mental attitudes be kept in a constructive manner. Well that the periods of using the Radio-Active Appliance be kept as the periods to meditate upon the promises of Creative Forces as related to the activities of the body in its associations with others.
Ready for questions.
(Q) What causes the herpes in left side of face?
(A) As just indicated, this is from the disturbed circulation and lack of proper eliminations. The use of those properties indicated, with the massages and the Radio-Active Appliance, should eliminate these from the system.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND

1/27/40 Letter from [2088]: "...I am 72 years old, have always had perfect health. But 6 months ago had herpes in left side of my face and I still have the pain. I suffered intensely the first three months. The pain is less now but almost constant and my strength comes back very slowly. Have had four doctors - all consider my case 'interesting' but no one seems to be able to give a name to the trouble - say 'facial neuralgia' is the nearest thing but different from any they have seen, etc.
"I come to you with entire belief that I shall be helped..."
