(Q) What should be taken to make bowels regular?
(A) This, as we find, would require rather these measures:
One day, beginning first, we would take two tablespoonsful of
Milk of Magnesia.
The next evening, or day, take two teaspoonsful of Milk of
Bismuth.
The next day we would take a whole bottle of Fletcher's
Castoria, taken half a teaspoonful at a time about every
thirty minutes, see?
The next day we would rest.
The next day use a high enema, with at least a tablespoonful
of Glyco-Thymoline to every PINT of warm water used, see?
Then rest a day after the enema.
Then begin and go through the whole routine.
These will make for regulations, and will add to the strength
of the system without reducing the body by straining, and
with the various properties will supply necessary elements
for bringing about the absorption of poisons in system by the
toxic forces and inactivities of the body; yet making the
eliminations so as to be helpful, as well as strengthening
the peristaltic movements of the system.
(Q) In what manner or way, or what part of last reading was
not carried out satisfactorily?
(A) Those applications for the relieving of congestions in
the cerebrospinal or general system.
(Q) How long before body will be normal again?
(A) After these have been carried out systematically, for at
least three to four weeks, we should be almost normal again.
(Q) What stimuli for the digestive forces?
(A) Haven't we just outlined what should be done for that?
Take these, and it will be some stimuli!
That is all the questions.
We are through with this reading.
