This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 105th Street and Ocean, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of October, 1931, in accordance with request made by self - through Mr. [1909].

TEXT

1. EC: (Going back over years - "1924 - this is better - 1917 - terrible experience - 1913 - too high - 1898 - when the change came".)
2. Yes, we have the entity and those relations with the universe and universal forces, as are latent and manifested in the present entity, [2141].
3. In entering, we find the astrological influences that have been and are being altered much in the present experience of the entity, coming under influences in Mars, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter. While these have been, in a manner, active forces in the experience of the entity in the present, with the rising influence of Jupiter in the present month there are to be changes that will make for more of a contentment WITH the experience than there HAS been experienced by the entity in this present sojourn. These will bring about many changes in the activities of the entity; for much having been builded by the entity IN the present experience, there arises that period when the entity will - as would be termed in common parlance - enjoy the fruits of that it, mentally and spiritually, has suffered in this present experience, through the better MATERIAL conditions SURROUNDING entity, through the better mental attitudes OF the entity as to that it HAS experienced, will there be used that ability as lies within the entity's forces to FORGET - as it were - that through which it HAS passed, ENJOYING the fruits of the labors.
4. In the astrological, as has been indicated (that has been altered in the present experience) through that of Mars has brought much discontent, much association that was forced upon the entity in experiences of relationships and conditions that has been hurt to the inner being; yet having accomplished IN self, MEETING that influence as has been builded, will the entity APPLY self in the spiritual welfare, especially as relates to facts and figures particularly, will there be brought TO the entity in the next few years a contentment that has NOT been experienced, only in short periods in this sojourn.
5. In Mercury, as seen, the mental aptitudes of the body have been, are, ABOVE the normal of experiences; yet oft has, in the present sojourn, the experience been such that the entity has at periods felt that it had been well had NOT the entity been so well VERSED in many things as pertain to phases of life or experience.
6. In Venus has been, as it were, the saving grace in the present experience of the entity; in the friendships, in the love relations as have been brought THROUGH associations of individuals, as WELL as bringing those of the earth heart PANGS to the experience of the entity; yet those experiences where that influence in the spiritual love has been manifested for and by the entity, has made oft that which has PREVENTED almost oblivion at times coming to the experience of the entity.
7. In Jupiter, as we find, this coming in the latter portion, and in the period of the experience in the entity for the latter portion of the present sojourn, with its arising near the fifteenth of the present month, will make soon thereafter many alterations in the activities, in the view upon life, in the view upon those EXPERIENCES of life, as to how they may be made as the stepping stones FOR better activities in those of the body action, the mental forces, as well as the physical and spiritual experiences and sources of activity for the body. These, then, bring as an active force that of the promise - as has been held in the hope of the entity through the Venus influence - and, as has been applied oft by the entity where there was seeming injustices considered, that the entity has lain oft aside in the activities to, for, and with individuals.
8. As has been builded in the personality of the entity, and that in which its present experience - with that as has been builded - may be added TO, for that contentment and peace, and hope and joy, AND happiness that may come even under those adverse conditions that seem to have so oft confronted the entity in its activities, in its labors - and most has this come through the seeming insincerity of those in WHOM the entity has put trust and faith:
9. In the personality, then, we find -

One that with figures or with facts, as has been acted IN the experience of the entity, for compilation of same for self, for others - in this FIELD of endeavor would there be brought TO the experience of the entity those things, those surroundings, that will bring and make for the better material activity, material satisfaction, material gains, in the present experience, as well as bringing about the entity those that will be nearer KINDRED active forces for the body; ESPECIALLY as pertains to those things that would have to do with the building of the body in a material and spiritual way.
11. As to the appearances, and the effect these have had, do have, upon the present experience particularly; for only those as are ACTIVATED in the PRESENT experience are given, as is asked here:
12. In the one then before this we find during that period when there were the hiring of those that would make war to enter the land of the entity's present sojourn, that were AMONG those who CAME in the company of those, and through the activities as were experienced by the entity was there contempt, and concerted move towards the sordid sides of an experience for the entity. Taken first in high hopes, turned into rout by those activities of those in superior positions to the entity, and with the sojourns brought that of a RETARDMENT for the entity; for that builded in the experience of grudges, of contention, of disorder, of those forces as have brought in the present experience that as of contempt from many FOR whom the entity should have, has had, MAY have had, those of anything ELSE save that KIND of experience. In OVERCOMING same, in meeting same, in not holding grudges for same, HAS the entity builded in so far as this has been accomplished in the present experience; yet fear has taken hold oft when the better self has KNOWN that COULD there be held that of the dependence IN that as was RECEIVED BY the entity THROUGH its own MENTAL forces, COULD be applied, that of a much altered and changed circumstance would have been, would be, the results for all concerned. In the name then Hessiaem. In that PORTION of the land that the entity's birth came, so in the PRESENT was that return to come through THAT of the entity's experience. [Born in Berlin, Germany]
13. In the one then before this we find in that period when there was the return from the land of bondage, and the entity among those who labored in the rebuilding of the wall, through the aids as were given to the laborers in that experience. Under the leadership then of Nehemiah did the entity come in, bringing with those of the forces as made for the building in those of material, as well as the added of those that had builded under Zerubbabel and Ezra, those of the spiritual forces in the life of the experience. The entity gained in the greater portion of this experience. Hence that peculiar phase of religious fervor that has permeated the BEING of the entity, or the body-being, in the present; faltering oft, as it was in that experience, through the various activities as were brought as for the contentions as arose in marital relations, as the contentions arose in that experience through that of the sojourn with individuals where the relationship had brought, did bring for that experience, that made for separations under conditions and circumstances that brought trials, tribulations and ordeals to the body. In the NAME then Myriah. In the present experience from this, we find added WITH the fervor of religious thought, sacredness of certain relationships with individuals, and those - to the entity - that break their word, or their bond with others, are as those that would do bodily harm to others. Hence the moral, religious, and the FILIAL relations of the entity, are high - and oft have they received IN the experiences those of desecration.
14. In the one then before this we find in that land known as the Egyptian, and during that period of the dispersing of that as had been gathered by those peoples who attempted to aid not only for themselves, but in the sending of emissaries and interpreters to other lands. The entity then a companion OF an interpreter to those of the leaders in that period, in the name Ai-Si. In this experience the entity gained in the latter portion, for being brought under the influence of the teachings of the period BY the interpreter of the priest to many in various ports, the entity lost FIRST in the attempts to correlate self and self's activities with those of the teachings of the period. When once gaining the concepts as of a whole development of body, mind AND soul, the entity became one of the leaders IN the dispersing of the lessons gained, and in the activities as proclaimed themselves through the efforts of those to whom the entity went AS a teacher, gaining through those experiences, both in those material things of the WORLD as WELL as those that pertain to spiritual forces; for the entity became one that judged of the exchange of commodities in the various lands in that experience. Hence figures, and those as pertains to things that supply the needs of the physical man, are those through which the entity may gain in the present experience.
15. In the one then before this we find in that land to which the entity AGAIN went, not of its own accord, known now as the Peruvian and Yucatan land. The entity then among those peoples that escaped from those persecutions in the Atlantean land, as well as from the upheavals as came a little later; becoming then a priestess in a temple that has - of the same PEOPLES - recently been discovered in that of the southern portion of THIS present portion of the land. The entity then in the name Ellisy. In this experience the entity gained AND lost. GAINED in the counsel and the aid as were brought to the native peoples of the land. Lost when there had been the establishing of self as the priestess in that period, in the aggrandizing of selfish interests, in the harkening to those of the calls of the flesh in the experience. Being then BEAUTIFUL in body, BEAUTIFUL in the manner of that as is in the present called personality, the wiles of the body brought many discontentments and contentions with the peoples in the experience. In the present we find those things as pertain to exchanges, and those as pertain to the finer things in life, hold an interest FOR the entity as at times becomes as almost a NECESSITY to the well being of the body.
16. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, and that to which it may attain, and how:

As we find, there will come shortly in the present year, in the present month, changes in the environs for the entity - and with these changes will there be held that as will pertain to the contentment as may come from that of using the past as the stepping stones for that as is seen farther on, for the physical, the mental, and the spiritual well being, will bring FOR the entity those of satisfaction, in contentment, for the better things in the experience.

19. (Q) What is the reason for my entering into the earth at the present time?
    (A) That, that as has hindered the entity from making itself one with the ideal of its soul concept, MIGHT be met, overcome, and used as that for an experience to CLARIFY all of desire.
20. (Q) Why are all my undertakings mostly confronted with such difficulty?
    (A) Through difficulty has the entity gained much of the experiences in the past, as WELL as in the present. Those that OVERCOME difficulties may wear the Crown. Those that succumb TO difficulties are counting themselves unworthy. Keep the faith as IS being builded THROUGH the love influence, putting behind thee those things that so easily beset, looking forward to the mark of the high calling as is set in Him - through the IDEALS as have been set. Then the better things, in the mental, the spiritual, the PHYSICAL life, even in the present, will be that reward.
21. (Q) What was the reason of the great tragedy in which I was connected during the war in 1917?
    (A) A replica almost of the experiences through which the entity passed in the last sojourn in the earth's plane; being close to, desiring to have - as it were - OUT WITH those that caused same. Hence the experience.
22. (Q) Is there any relationship between [1909] and [2141]? If so, where and how?
    (A) In two - yea three experiences - were their relationships close. Once as companions of those that BUILDED in the Holy City. As companions in the dispersing of those truths in another. As ones as pitted AGAINST one another in the last.
23. That is all the questions.
24. Well were there to be, for this entity, a seeking for those interpretations of those various experiences in the earth's plane, that the comparisons of the first PORTIONS of its present sojourn may be made. Hence the building of a different attitude will BE the result in this contented period.
