This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of March, 1940, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [2154], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [845] & Miss [1709].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Miss [2154], Mrs. [845], Miss [1709], Mrs. [413], Mrs. [578] and Mr. [622]. Born July 7, 1920, in Portsmouth, Va.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, and that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '37 - changes - '37 - preparation - '30 - '27 - " etc. on back to birth date.)
3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2154].
4. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, much might be given as to those things that will, or do, influence the entity in its relationships with others.
5. Those interpretations as may be gathered from the records here are chosen with the desire and purpose that this be a hopeful, helpful experience for the entity; that it may apply itself in filling those purposes for which it entered this present environ, - that it may meet those things wherein there may be a better, a greater understanding as to that for which each soul enters a material sojourn.
6. Then, as we find, but without respect to the application of the will, these are those urges innate or manifested in the environs or activities of the entity:
7. The home and its making will be the greater experience for the entity. For the entity will make, will be, an exceptional mother. For with these influences about the entity, we may find much of harmony, beauty, joy, that is often - yea, the more often - missed in the home.
8. Ever wear about the entity rose coral. The vibrations of same, from same, may aid in the mental as well as vibratory urge to make those influences less of a disturbing nature which might otherwise become disturbing.
9. Hold fast to that faith in self, as well as the innate goodness in all. These will be indicated through the experiences through which the entity has passed, in the earthly sojourns as well as in the astrological sojourns during the interims between the material appearances.
10. There have been many sojourns in the earth; not all will be given, but those that influence the entity the more in the present, innately and manifestedly.
11. Hence we find in this present material sojourn, the entity is one highly emotional in every nature and influence. Those things that are only as tales, omens, or activities that would have to do with the mystical, the supernatural or the unusual, all appear to the entity to become a part of the influence. Yet the entity gains more the BEAUTY of such than the fearsome experiences.
12. The astrological influences are not indicated as those things which will happen irrespective of what the entity does about same. For, no influence, no urge may surpass the will of the entity. Know, that (the will) is the birthright of each soul. Each soul is a portion of that Creative Influence, with the ability to manifest unto the glory of the Creator. And it is then for that purpose that each soul enters material experiences.
13. Thus, as to warnings:
14. Know thy ideal, - physical, mental, spiritual, - and Who and What is the author of thy ideal. Not as to what others may be to thee, but what THOU may be to others. For with what measure ye mete, it is measured to thee again.
15. Thus each experience, as will be indicated in the sojourns through a material plane, is meeting self. For, as has been given of old, "That which I hated has come upon me." The slights, the slurs ye speak of others will be as thy chickens come home to roost.
16. From the astrological aspects we find Venus the ruling influence. Hence beauty, gentleness, tenderness, kindness, are innately manifested. These are not only characteristics that are a part of the entity in its expression, but are such that may mould or wield the greater influence in the experience of the entity in its associations with others, or with others in their association with the entity.
17. Especially from Venus the home building and the home activities become the greater expression. The abilities to make a home, to create the environs for same, are innate in the experience, and will give the entity the greater outlet for its expressions in this material plane.
18. From Mercury we also find the high sensitiveness, as well as mental abilities, as well as the details that are required in the home as well as in the associations in any field of activity in which the entity may engage itself.
19. The entity becomes one, then, longing for the expressions in same, - as will also be seen from the material sojourns.
20. From Uranus we find the extremes. These are both good and bad. Hence the warning, - as there may come disturbances, disappointments, disillusionments - as it were - in the experience, SEE them rather through rose-colored glasses, than gathering to self any hate, malice, jealousy, or those things that make souls afraid. Rather see them through hopes than fears, in assurances than activities that create disappointing forces. Be hopeful, ever; for He, - as thy Ideal, - IS the author of hope, dispeller of fear, the father of truth, light and understanding.
21. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth's plane, - we find that these have been many and varied, as to the activities through the earth.
22. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during the sojourns of those peoples who first settled in the land about what is now known as Jamestown and Williamsburg.
23. The entity's activities were in the establishing or making of better environments for the young during those experiences. When there were destructive forces in the activities of individuals, the entity - then in the name of Mary Ann Dubell - oft caused the rallying of many to a more hopeful experience.
24. Hence the extremes have been and will be in the experience of the entity, as to those things through which there may come distrust by the actions of others, as well as by the underhanded manner in which some individuals take advantage of situations.
25. Remember, - rather than bringing curses, or wishing destructive conditions, - as He gave, indeed offences must come, but woe unto him by whom they come!
26. Then, LEAVE vengeance in His hands. For ye may even gain lessons from such, in thy activity, that may bring hope and strength into the experiences of others.
27. Before that the entity was in the Roman land, during those days when the Master walked in the earth.
28. The entity was among those who were later called the Holy Women, - being among the daughters of those who were the leaders, the followers of the Master, Jesus, the Christ.
29. We find that the entity was a niece of Peter, - a daughter of Andrew, one of the disciples; and was among those who were active following the Crucifixion in caring for the upper chamber where the disciples and those first followers gathered.
30. The entity then took care of that chamber, as it was then the wife of a brother of John and James, Zebedee's children; and the entity's activities brought blessings to the many, making that chamber as a home, a church, a meeting place, a hopeful experience for those throughout that period, - even when the persecutions arose. For the entity then, as Cleo, made for those activities that brought hope to the persecuted. Disturbances that arose were counted rather by the entity as blessings, in that they enabled the entity to suffer for its faith.
31. Hence, as has been indicated, hold FAST to that faith which has prompted thee, and which does prompt thee, in thy endeavors and relationships to that which has been and is thy ideal.
32. Before that the entity was in the Persian and Arabian land. There the entity was among the households of the Persians, being a daughter of one who would today be called a Prince of Persia. Hence the entity was a princess in its own right; yet with those activities which began in the "city in the hills," the entity renounced those connections and became rather as one among those who aided in caring for others; in the capacity of what would today be termed a nurse for those who were afflicted, those who were needy, those who needed the care of those close in connection with not only the healer or teacher, but those individuals who passed through that land during the entity's sojourn.
33. The entity gained and lost. When the entity became partisan in its expressions and activities, because of the disturbances which arose among the peoples of the desert or nomad land, the entity lost; for it brought hardships, and rather a condition of fear between some of the entity's people and the nomads.
34. Again the entity sought counsel with the teacher, and then gained.
35. Through the experience the entity remained single, yet did much in caring for the offspring of others.
36. The name then was Liseum.
37. Before that the entity was in the Grecian land, in the early periods when there were the attempts to separate the people for the propagation of activities that later became established in the Egyptian land. The entity was of the natives who were active in the separations, yet who made the activities which caused the necessity for the peoples to become active in separations.
38. In the present from that sojourn we find the knowledge and the understanding of many things that cause differences in the associations of individuals and groups; yet the entity learned, from that experience as Euntuno, that it is never well to take sides; not to act as one not interested, but interested only in helping to bring harmony and peace in and among its associates in every walk of life.
39. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods of the reconstruction, or when the activities of the King and the Priest and the peoples from Atlantis were setting up the services for the redeeming, or re-making, of conditions for bodies that might be channels through which greater expression or expansion might be made manifest in a material world for the forces of good.
40. The entity was among the children of the peoples of the land who were purified in the Temple of Sacrifice; and became among the first to establish homes for individual groups who were thus cleansed and who were making their preparation for further activity with those associations and connections.
41. In the experience the entity gained; and in the present we find that those are the same activities in which there may be brought better influences, more harmony and more the creative energies and forces, into the experience of the entity.
42. As to that to which the entity may attain, and how:
43. First, know thy ideal, - physical, mental and spiritual.
44. Then, study to show thyself approved; not ashamed, but rightly keeping self in such an attitude, such an activity, in which there is no SELF-condemnation. For, if thou art true to thyself, thou indeed wilt not be false to any.
45. In the home and the home activities may the greater expressions come, and the greater outlet be had for the abilities latent and manifested, - and many, MANY children!

47. (Q) Please give my seal and its interpretation.
    (A) Rather that as has been indicated. Coral, - as would present itself in any form, whether as a seal or as that PREFERABLY to be worn, rather than a life seal. Wear coral; rose color, - not red, not white, but rose coral. This is the seal. And, as indicated, as this is made up of nature's activity attempting to manifest, so - as ye have experienced and will experience - it is the little things in the association one with another that build those that prove to be the real experiences of the life. A word, a look, a sign, may make, may undo, all of the thoughts of many.
48. (Q) Please give my colors and musical notes.
    (A) ROSE - as the color! As to musical notes, - rather the first three notes in Home Sweet Home!
49. (Q) What should be my hobby?
    (A) HOME, - as well as the whole of the activities in all of those things as might be set in the separating of same as a hobby, - the little things that make home a real experience for all.
50. (Q) Should I make a change in residence, as contemplated?
    (A) This as we find would be very well.
51. (Q) In what former periods was I associated with my present office personnel?
    (A) Parallel same, and we will find associations both good and bad.
52. (Q) Have recent associates contributed a constructive influence?
    (A) They have, in the same manner as ye have contributed a constructive influence to them.
