4/12/40 Miss [
954]'s letter:
Want to send you this note to tell you that Miss [
2160]
seemed, in her odd non-thinking way, to be much pleased
with her reading. Apparently she is going to dash off a few
books immediately - having brushed aside the deeper and more
revealing parts of the reading. The element of turmoil and
confusion given is so true that it hits me in the eyes.
I think you will be interested to know that something about
her and [
1058] is explained apparently. She, too, was a
Greek - and undermining gal (or guy) - while [
1058] went to
Uljed [Uhjltd - [
294]], got healing, and remained to care for
the refugee children. Evidently their paths crossed then.
[
1058] has shown a deep (almost unreasoning) fear of her
- and [
2160] never misses a chance to knife [
1058] in
conversation. [
1058], however, has understanding but
apparently little pity for [
2160]. She sometimes says
"Well, she's got to learn..."
10/19/50 ARE letter: "Your name was sent to us by the New
York Study Group. They think you will be interested in our
work..."
5/04/51 Letter: "I so deeply regret that I cannot attend the
meeting on Thursday the 10, but I am passing on the card to
one whom I know it will do much good. I am so interested
in anything regarding 'karma'. You see I assist the Rev.
[
954]... She has her class Thursday nights in her studio at
... Could you send me the karma questionnaire which I never
seem to have received..."
6/06/51 Notation by GD: Karma questionnaire sent.
3/21/52 Letter: "Some time ago you sent me a questionnaire
regarding my life. I got it half filled out and planned to
write a letter or memo with it, expationating on some phases
in my life where I had gone to the top and then I was stopped
and - or got a 'kick in the teeth' as the boys say. There is
nothing in my Life Reading by Edgar Cayce which brings this
out. Therefore I would like another questionnaire to
complete...All kind thoughts and God bless you all."
8/01/56 She sent another small contribution to the A.R.E.
work.
