1/02/51 Verbal report: "I have now started using the
treatments outlined in my first physical reading [2175-2],
with the purpose of rebuilding the body energies - and plan
to keep this up (in series) over a period of one year or
more. Will give a report on my progress following each
series."
2/04/55 Friend reported that Mrs. [
2175] was in the hospital -
a breast had been amputated.
8/57 Letter: "My work needs to be done in the field called
'grace' because I live by the grace of God. Three times
I've faced death. Three times God through the grace of the
Messiah returned my strength. With these things I should
work."
10/20/58 Friend Mrs. [
1523]'s report: "About two months ago
[
2175] returned to the hospital. I had seen her in June and
she told me that she was tired and ached all over. She said,
'I have been aching all over since last year.' When I heard
she was in the hospital I called her husband, [
2301], and
he said that she had cancer of the bone - that it was in
the spine and that there was no hope.
"In 1955 when she had her breast removed, a nurse at the
hospital said she had about six months to live. Now they say
it is still just a matter of time, and could be any time - or
weeks. When the family was told about this, they knew they
would have to tell [
2175], because she already knew too much
about her condition, and that is the way she wants it. When
they did tell her, [
2301] and others told me that she was
the one that was consoling the family. She has had some 58
X-ray treatments - and I believe continues to take them but
further apart. During her stay in the hospital she was under
sedation, but would take only half of what they left for
her to take, and only when she could not do without it any
longer.
"She is home now, and has a girl to keep the house and
prepare the meals. She called me this morning and said that
she is coming to spend the day with me tomorrow. When she
was in the hospital a few weeks ago she could hardly walk.
She told me that she had really come into the earth this time
to build a body, to learn how to rebuild her body. Other
than Florence Edmonds I have never seen anyone hold such a
constructive and positive attitude. On the few occasions
when we have discussed her problem, it has been completely
unemotional generally this never comes up. It is a most
amazing demonstration of holding on to that in which she
believes, the Christ."
