This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of May, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [2203], via mother of [3840].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions; also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
3. Now, we find there are those conditions that are abnormal in the physical forces of the body. These have to do with those elements wherein the body assimilates from those conditions created in the system.
4. These, then, are conditions as we find them in this body:
5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this overabundant in the body, yet not in that state or condition wherein high pressure is at an excess for the relative conditions of the body.
6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEMS, these are very good, save as is exercised by those elements in the glands of the system wherein there is the change in the ducts of the system that produce too much of cellular force in all portions of system, radiating then from the 6th and 7th dorsal center to the pancreas. This, as we see, first started or produced the condition in the system wherein the body began through these effects to increase in the fats for the body, and these may prove detrimental to the heart and kidneys also; for with too much, or an excess of fats about either of these organs, as indicated, this might occur. While as given, the heart shows little of that excess in its region at the present, yet the kidneys show much.
7. To meet the needs, then, of these conditions at the present time, we would so alternate those vibrations for the body in diet, and in the vibratory force as set in system, as to overcome these conditions.
8. Then the diet, while not of that nature that will reduce too fast or severe, must be a very persistent and consistent effort on the part of THIS body, [2203].
9. Do not eat white bread, and have all bread toasted before eating.
10. The sugars are barred, in the addition to starches, and all foods that create starch.
11. Then, we would have rather the green vegetable diet, and OCCASIONALLY there may be taken syrup made from corn, and with the corn bread, see? and buttermilk, or the milk that has been prepared in the manner that is of that nature that destroys the fat in same, see? and the body should use those vibrations for the body at least once each day of the Radio-Active Appliance, using the regular, with the anode of the negative pole attached to the umbilicus and the other to the wrist, and alternated to the ankle, see?
12. Through this manner we will find that, with persistent, consistent, action, and correcting the exercises in the manner where the body, at least for three to five (3 to 5) minutes each evening and morning, rolls - rolls - rolls, see? and this, as we find, will bring better conditions and a more equalized condition throughout the whole system.
13. In the mental forces of this body, these we find exceptional, and the body, through persistence, might develop self in that way wherein the psychic forces may predominate to that extent wherein self may gain information for self of self, and to aid others. Be worth while concentrating for same.

   Mr. Edgar Cayce -
   Dear Sir:-
   A friend of mine, Mrs. [...] now of ..., N.J. but formerly of New York, where you treated her daughter [3840] recommended me to write to you for help. Come doctors insist upon an operation, others say paralyzed thyroid glands and they laugh at an operation. My spirit forces rather agree with the latter and I am not clear myself what to do.
   Should I come to you in Va.? I can ill afford to go to great expense just at present but shortly think I can arrange to come there if it seems necessary.
   From what I have heard of you and from my own experiences you must be wonderfully blest [blessed] with spiritual gifts.
   Please let me know the cost of treatment or direction. If I can be helped, I have many friends who need help also.
   I have no idea of what information you need but send you herewith a little family history.
