This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 29th day of October, 1924, as of 5:30 A.M., in accordance with request made by his sister, Mrs. [...] [Mr. [3822]'s wife].

TEXT

1. GC: You will have [2210] who was at 5:30 A.M. at ..., Ohio. You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will give the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will also answer any questions I might ask you relative to this body.
2. EC: Now we find there are conditions that are abnormal to this body, and these may be corrected.
3. While we find the body in many respects in the functioning of the system good, yet there are specific conditions causing distress in the functioning of the system, and these have been, and have become, of such a nature as to produce organic conditions and the functioning of the organs under this strain gives distress to the body. These have to do with the nerve system and the conditions produced in ganglions in the cerebrospinal nerve system at certain segments, as we shall see.
4. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body, [2210] we are speaking of.
5. First:
6. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find with the inclination to be below normal in pulsation and in pressure abnormal. This produced by the kind of pressure produced in the circulation and in the centers through which the conditions are disturbed.
7. In the division in blood supply, we find this very good, though overtaxed with those elements carried in blood supply that are not eliminated through their proper channels. Hence a character of metabolism and metallism in the circulation, or in the eliminations in body.
8. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in the 12th dorsal and second lumbar we find the specific conditions as given. This we find was produced in times back, for two segments here are out of alignment. One internal, one to the right. This then produces a pressure and has produced a pressure on distributing of the nutriment necessary to keep the equilibrium through nerve and blood circulation to portions of the body, especially through the lower portion of hypogastric circulation. This affects then the lower hepatics, or the opposite pole to the liver, producing first a sluggish liver in its action, and overtaxing to the kidneys, and the effect of the constipation as produced by this taxation begun first to disturb circulation, producing pressure on hypogastric and pneumogastric centers, giving distress to the digestive system, especially in the duodenum and pancreas. Reflexly, the system then reacting, overtaxes the kidneys in their elimination, leaving sediment for the system, or the effect of lazy kidneys and not at first organic. In the present condition from this we have a full kidney in the left side. This, with the strain, produces taxation to the whole right portion of the upper cervical plexuses through the sympathetic system, giving a pressure on sensory organism; the body becoming super-sensitive to all conditions relative to its physical being and afraid of itself. This we find has then produced organic as well as functioning conditions throughout the body.
9. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good, save as acted upon through sympathetic system from reflex conditions; then producing hallucination to all of the sensory organs in their function, as well as to the mental capacity of the body to act or react on physical conditions in body. Reflex condition only.
10. Throat and bronchials show distresses through congestion. Local and not organic.
11. Lungs good.
12. Heart's action sluggish or below normal. Pulsation at hour given only sixty-three, with a respiration below normal.
13. Digestive tract improved from conditions as have been in body.
14. Liver engorged but not overactive.
15. Hepatic circulation high in lower portions, from the stress as is on the eliminations in kidneys and intestinal tract. Through the lower intestines we find, with conditions, the whole portion of the colon shows stress and a reaction of the faeces, affecting through assimilated conditions (not normal) the whole system. At present these are better, from the use of properties that affect the excretory system in intestinal tract, producing an extra amount of secretions in the system.
16. Kidneys show their over strains and organic conditions disturbed rather from sedimentary conditions as would be shown by urine test, producing some inflammation in bladder, spasmodically; not all times.
17. Then to bring the normal conditions to this body, we would take those properties that will give the correct incentives for the functioning of the organs affected, and adjust those conditions in cerebrospinal center and centers that the body may eliminate properly and be stimulated in the proper secretions and excretions.
18. The condition to be corrected osteopathically would be that in lower dorsal and the whole lumbar region, especially as major conditions: 12th dorsal, 2nd lumbar.
19. The medicinal properties would be those as found in Vinol, with this addition: Take Vinol as directed, only taking half the quantity. Added this:
    Prepare:

    Tincture of Valerian...............2 ounces,
Iodide of Potassium...............20 grains,
Bromide of Potassium..............30 grains,
Elixir Calisaya....................2 ounces,
Elixir Celerina....................1 ounce,
Oil of Peppermint..................2 minims,
Fluid Extract Capsici..............1 minim.

20. This would be mixed well to-gether and a teaspoonful taken three times each week in addition to the Vinol.
21. Correct osteopathically the conditions. Necessary these be taken at least every other day until these are corrected, relaxing the body throughout with these manipulations.
22. We will bring the normal conditions to this body, [2210].
