6/08/26 Mother's letter (from ... Ave., New York, N.Y.):
"...Your name has been given to me by Miss [
4586], ... who
has spoken very highly of you.
"I have a very great problem, which I trust you will be able
to assist me with. I have a son, [
2213], Born, December 2nd,
1909, who disappeared from his home, Orange, Massachusetts,
on May 26th. There is no trace of him. I have tried every
means but up to this writing there has been nothing learned
of him. I am a business woman [a widow] and, of course, this
worry is a great strain. I would appreciate your giving a
reading on this matter and sincerely trust that we can get
some help through you."
REPORTS
8/15/26 Mother's ltr. to Miss [
4586]: "After thinking over
the questions which I would like Mr. Cayce to answer. I have
come to the conclusion that the following would give me the
information I desire most.
What direction from New York is he?
From what port did he sail?
On what kind of a ship?
What is his present physical condition?
What is his present mental condition? Is he worrying?
Under what influences is he?
Motive for this unusual act?
Frame of mind at departure?
Shall we hear from him?
What can be done to locate him?
What can be done to influence him to return?
"Of course I shall be glad of ANYTHING supplementing the
reading which he can give me.
"Please be sure of my appreciation for what you are doing. I
shall await results with great interest and meanwhile accept
my wishes for a most gorgeous vacation..."
