6/30/40 Miss [

c/o Mrs [...]
Hollywood
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I have delayed my letter of thanks to you only because I
have wanted to write my more completely digested thoughts.
Mrs. [
1770] wrote you immediately, I know, of my gratitude,
interest and reactions.
The reading is most true. It corroborates facts I have
learned of myself through my subjective experiences in
Rhythm. I have always seemed to have an unusual appreciation
and knowledge of its three sojourns you named, the French,
the Greek and the Egyptian, - and of these, the Greek has
claimed most truly, my thoughts.
All thru the Reading you have named the Dance or Movement as
its medium of expression. This I have followed most closely
for the past 20 years, in the East, mostly, - New York,
Cobalt, Conn., and Boston, Mass. But while I have succeeded
as a Teacher in getting amazing results and creating much in
the Dance, I WAS NOT materially successful. I still feel
that the Teaching of Rhythm is a medium and this you have
strongly advocated - in Florida. I am turning my thoughts
there, and while I may not find it possible to go at once, I
shall keep that in my mind as a destination. As you advise,
the Forte of mine is WRITING - this will be a new venture
for me, and one I am just beginning to actively appreciate.
For the past year I have been having such a subconscious
desire, but I have never expressed it. I am now endeavoring
to co-ordinate myself so that I may turn my "experience" here
into its best uses to serve toward a harmonious balance in
my spiritual, mental and physical advancement, & where this
advancement will be of service to others.
I have just been reading Napoleon Hill's book, - "Think and
Grow Rich." It is a splendid help toward educating these
facilities of ours into better use, - and in learning to
hold to the positive, good thoughts, and to know courage and
Faith. I should never want material advancement that would
rob my Spirit. I sometimes feel that I have been afraid of
material success, and that may have been the cause of my lack
of sufficient bread to live by. I wipe out that thought now,
and trust in the power of God, knowing no fear.
I had thought there might be a possibility of my going East
this summer, but it looks now as though I shall stay. I have
not sufficient funds to carry me there as yet. I continue
with the job I have had, it helps me exist. And in the
interim I shall be growing in patience and gathering into
power those forces that come thru me. I am writing to those
friends I have, looking toward some introduction into
Florida. A way there, might open.
You have been so good to help me, and I hope I use
intelligently the guidance and directions you have given me.
[
1770] leaves for Honolulu on the 8th, - I shall miss her
very much - but I am hoping her stay there will be a
"shining" experience.
With my sincere appreciation and gratitude, - I am [

7/02/40 EC's letter to Miss [
2247]:
Dear Miss [
2247] -
Thank you for yours of the 30th - do hope that you will be
able to use the suggestions made in your reading. You of
course know better than any one just how well it fits with
that something within - as is the real you, may seem too bad
that you cannot act fully as you would like on same at once
but feel sure if you set the goal, and hold same it will
come to pass -
Most interesting that the information seems to check in so
many ways and just hope you may materialize the truth in
same.
Haven't heard from Mrs. [
1770] of late, guess she knew we
were busy with our Congress - which we were, and she on the
move also.
Wish you might have been with us - there is a friend of ours
[
1947] who is coming west - is to teach in a school in Cal.
She makes a specialty of Physical education - as suggested
through readings, has tried it out - and works. Part of this
course is posture and dancing - possibly when she get located
might get you two together if you are still there.
Thanking you for your report - and hoping to have been of
a help, and can we help along the way please call on us.
Sincerely

9/10/40 Miss [
2247]'s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
This is just to give greetings, and to say that I am still
"in the swim" so to speak.
The job I had here has dwindled into nothing, as the people
could not press it into a success in the present form. So I
have come to be teaching my rhythm again. I have two new
pupils who are about carrying the expenses now - God seemed
to provide them when I needed it without any effort of mine.
I keep "knowing" that God's abundance is my constant supply
and He is my complete protection. He will guide my way, and
I wait for Him to show me.
I have been making the effort to write, it is slow and a NEW
expression. And while I am not satisfied with my results, I
feel that you have revealed to me a way of expression and
completion, which is success. While I have been so working,
I have invented a little rubber cushion that can be used for
babies. God seems to have put a "way" into my hands, but I
am "searching" for the next step, as it can be a source of
income to me. Such would help, and I do feel things are
"opening up" because I am "trusting".
Your Reading I have been studying over constantly, and it
helps to clear up much - and it is encouraging me on the
road.
I hope when the young friend [1947?] of yours who is to teach
"Physical education as suggested thru the readings" comes out
that I may have the pleasure of meeting her. How you have
helped her will most certainly be an inspiration and a help
to me.
[
1770] is enjoying the beauties of Hilo and writes
inspiringly about it. I have not had a letter in some weeks
now - but she has so many letters to write I can't expect
too much attention. I have written her, and I said I was
writing you to send my greetings, and to tell you how I
fared.
My most cheerful greetings to you - and my gratitude,
Sincerely, [
2247]
