10/22/40 Wife's letter to EC:
"We were interested and happy in receiving the bulletins from
the Association. We rejoice that your dream is coming true
and it is our desire to contribute to its realization in a
financial way sometime soon.
"Just now we are striving diligently to get Dr. [
2276] well.
He began his school work and improved in health while
teaching for which we were very thankful. About ten days
ago, however, an unusual condition set in which has made him
quite nervous and almost unable to continue teaching. The
condition is growing worse instead of better and we are
writing you to have another reading for us. As suggested in
the last reading we have not let teaching interfere with the
treatments and we have carried out directions to the best of
our ability. Perhaps we have overdone the osteopathic
treatments, but all that will come out in the reading. We
are very eager to have the reading as soon as you can
schedule it - Thursday evening after seven P.M., Friday
from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. or Saturday morning from eleven until
one o'clock. Dr. [
2276] will be at his residence at ...
during these hours.
"Will you please have Mrs. Cayce ask these questions:
(1) Should the phenobarbital tablets be continued or omitted
altogether, or dosage lessened.
(2) Is his present diet sufficient to supply the needs of the
body? (We are giving B-1 injections regularly.)
(3) What is causing the condition in the left side of the
body and how long will the condition remain if directions
are followed?
(4) What was the cause of this condition?
(5) Is exercise good or bad?
(6) Is his teaching interfering with his progress toward
good health?
"I believe this is all. Perhaps the answer to these will
come out in the reading. We are so eager to have him well
again. He has been so patient and striving in every way to
get better and gain normal health again. The condition of
which I speak is a lack of use of the left arm and leg. This
makes him helpless & nervous & causes him to stumble and
fall. Enclosed is an airmail stamp for your use in returning
reading to us. We certainly do thank you a thousand times.
Best wishes to you and Mrs. Cayce and Miss Davis."
Sincerely, Mrs. [...]
