(Q) Should anything else be done to prevent gas after
eating?
(A) If we do these things as indicated, this should be
corrected. If this continues, there may be taken after
the meal - when this causes any disturbance - any good
conditioner for the correction of same; as a quarter
teaspoonful of ALCAROID dissolved first in a little water,
then the glass filled with water and taken, then drinking
another half glass or a full glass of water afterward. This
will prevent those tendencies for the accumulation of gas.
This should not be necessary after s few of the osteopathic
corrections have been made, and when the massage has been
given.
The massage is NOT to take the place of the adjustments
osteopathically, nor the adjustments to take the place of
the massage. These should be entirely separate. The massage
would be given only about once a week, while the adjustments
osteopathically - though only relaxing - would be given
about twice a week, until after the first eustachian tube
corrections by finger surgery - then they may be made a week
to ten days apart, until the next series of finger surgery is
to be taken.

Dear Mr. Cayce -
I have your reading...of April 23rd. I will be here in ...
until the last week in June and from then on in New York
City during the summer.
I have written to Dr. Richardson asking for the booklet and
also who he would advise to give the finger surgery in New
York and also here in case there is a practitioner here.
In case there is no practitioner here, do you advise
beginning the general osteopathic treatments here or waiting
until I reach New York and starting these general treatments
and the finger surgery at the same time.
Yours sincerely, [

Dear Mrs. [
2280] (folder)
Thanks for yours of the 4th - I suspect Mrs. [
2280] the
advice you will get from Dr. Richardson would be the best
I do not know just how long is usually required for the
treatments before the finger surgery is given, and am of the
opinion they should if possible be given by the same person,
but Dr. Richardson was one of those who helped develop the
method while an instructor in the Philadelphia school and
that is why I say am sure he will advise you correctly.
Thanking you and hoping you will soon be on the improve.
Sincerely [signed] Edgar Cayce
