Dear Mr. Cayce-
We want to thank you for your letter received last week.
Would like to know what the charges are so that we may send
you a check. [
2288] is real familiar with the Elliott
Machine you mentioned and would appreciate any information
regarding same - We have ordered the Kellogg Charcoal
Tablets. I am so sorry you put the burden of diet on [
2288]
- We have for fifteen years had the best cook in ... and
are a food conscious family. [
2288] knows better but that
old appetite gets the best of him - He restrains himself some
but I know not enough.
In December we began to look for a place in Arizona to spend
the winter but to date have had most unfavorable replies.
They say half the U.S. have moved in on them and there is
nothing to be had - We have also started proceedings to get
into the Veterans Hospital in Tucson but that takes time -
But we shall keep trying -
I had a few minutes with your sister in Nashville Friday -
She looks so well and is so cheerful - I like her very much.
The Kentucky Library and Museum (founded by Mr. H. H. Cherry
on Western campus) would like so much one of your autographed
"There is a River" for their collection.
Thank you again My Friend -

so interested in your work for Dr. [

busy trying to get him off to Arizona. At present he is

Dear Dr. [
2288]
Thank you for yours of the 24th. Don't worry about any
charges. You have always been too nice of friends to think
about that. I think you will find all the information you
wish to know about the Elliott machine from Dr. I Daniel
Shorell, 8 East 64th St., New York City. It has proven to
be most helpful in such conditions.
I had a note from sister telling about seeing you, I am
sending you a copy of THERE IS A RIVER to put in the library
there in the school.
Thank you and with kindest personal regards to you both, I am
Sincerely

Dear Friends-
I would be so interested in any information on Arthritis
especially the diet. You may remember that Mr. Cayce gave
Dr. [
2288] two readings - Dr. [
2288] has had arthritis about
fifteen years - He has grown progressively worse until three
years ago he gave up practice and is now dependent on a wheel
chair for motivation - He has seen a great many Doctors -
spent time at Mayo Clinic and Vanderbelt Hospital - Nothing
has ever helped him -
Thank you so much for any help

Dear Mrs. [...]
I have your letter of December 8th and was sorry to learn of
the developments in your husband's case.
We have forwarded the abstract to you and hope you find some
of the suggestions in it helpful. Please let us have any
questions and a report on any use you are able to make of the
information.
Sincerely yours,
Hugh Lynn Cayce HLC/dm

"Dr. [
2288] is a chair invalid, and has been for six months,
creeping paralysis with arthritis condition. Mrs. [...]
[[
2288]'s wife] fell and broke her hip about eight weeks ago;
she is able to be up some, but they are both confined to
their room. They tell me it is a very pathetic case. I
wrote Mrs. [...] [[
2288]'s wife] and someone of her friends
came in to tell me about her. I am truly sorry for them.
She told her friend to tell me as soon as she could get out
she was coming in to see me. So will try to get all
information I can. I know she told me last fall that Dr.
[
2288] regretted having not followed the reading; said he was
very foolish not to have..."
