TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2289]; this we have had before.
3. As we find in the present, there is rather an acute condition that arises from inactivity of the liver in its coordinating with the rest of the eliminating system.
4. Thus the throwing of properties to be eliminated onto the kidneys has carried same (with this slowing of the hepatic circulation) into the lymph circulation. Thus the forming of not only splotches on the body but tendencies for swelling and inflammation in all areas where there is the circulation of the lacteal Or lymph ducts, - like those areas about the face, or the tear ducts, those about the throat - or the salivary glands, those about the scrotum, those about the feet and hands.
5. First prepare and give one dose of this; these three ingredients put into one capsule or pellet - which may then be put into a teaspoon with a little syrup or some juice or the like, so as to be given to the body:

   Leptandrin.............................2 grains,
Sanguinaria............................2 grains,
Podophyllum..........................1/4 grain.

This may be given with a little water, or in capsule or in a pellet, or in a piece of bread, - however it may be taken, see?
6. Then, after same - about three to four hours afterward, begin taking broken doses of Fletcher's Castoria; that is, about a quarter teaspoonful every thirty minutes until there has been the FULL, COMPLETE ELIMINATIONS, INDICATING even the activity of the liver through the alimentary canal.
7. Then give, about three times a day, three to four drops of Glyco-Thymoline - and give until it is indicated from the odor in the stool, see?
8. Massage the body along the spine with cocoa butter when it is put to bed.
9. Keep the body close, so that cold is not contracted.
10. Then, afterwards give plenty of orange juice, plenty of cereals - especially oat meal, or the combinations of wheat and barley (as in Maltex), or such cereals. Have plenty of egg yolk; plenty of such foods as this. Breakfast bacon may be given if it is very crisp - not burned, but crisp; with toast and the like. But DO NOT GIVE SWEETS! This is what has upset the body.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Are his eyes strong?
    (A) Not in the present, when there is so much inflammation in the lachrymal ducts.
13. (Q) What causes hurting along legs and arms?
    (A) This is the same disturbance that has been indicated in the lymph glands, from poor eliminations from liver AND kidneys. And too much sugar!
14. (Q) Is there any trouble with the lower part of his spine?
    (A) Only that as indicated in the scrotum, or in the area between the groins, you see.
Do these things, and then be mindful of the diet.
15. We are through with this Reading.

(GD's note to great grandmother: "Mrs. [326], I am having Meredith's at the Beach prepare 3 capsules, just in case you fail to get him to take the first dose. This same combination was given last summer for little [1635], and we went all over Norfolk trying to get the ingredients - one of them; so I finally had to get Meredith to order it, - that's why I went ahead and had these made up, so as to save you the delay.")

BACKGROUND

1. See 2289-4.
2. 1/04/42 Phone request by great grandmother, Mrs. [326]. First she expressed thanks and appreciation for the Life Rdg. given for her daughter, Mrs. [1013], [2184]'s mother; she knows it is going to be a great help to the whole family and to the daughter.
She, Mrs. [326], has entire charge of little [2289], now 25 months old, and obligates herself to pay for this check reading. She knows the mother, [2184], hasn't paid for all the readings she has gotten, but she has had a mighty hard time of it - is working now, and she - Mrs. [326] - will see that it is paid.
   1. What is the cause and relief for the red spots that occasionally come on face, tongue, and at times on parts of the body, - that spread and swell? (Had one on forehead sometime ago and it has now swollen so as to close one eye.) I used witchhazel and soda on it. When they come on his tongue, it looks like it is peeled.) 2. Are his eyes strong? (He often complains of them hurting, and continually rubs them.) 3. What causes him to complain at times of hurting along legs and arms - what is this? 4. Is there any trouble with the lower part of his spine? 5. Is there anything wrong in his present diet? Please outline correct diet for him?

REPORTS

1. 1/22/42 Mrs. [326]'s letter: "I gave [2289] the treatment as directed and am still trying to do as you directed. He still has a few red spots to pop out occasionally, but maybe that will cease after a while. I am not using sugar for him. I have honey and saccharin tablets. He is full of energy and I hope that he may finally get alright. I do thank you so much for all your kindness. I don't know how we could get along without your advice."
2. 1/25/43 See 2289-6.
