After there have been the first ten adjustments made (that
is, the fifteen to sixteen general treatments and ten
adjustments), not before, - we would then begin using the low
electrical vibrations from the violet ray, or the light
resistance and high frequency; that is, not the bulb
applicator but the hand applicator. Use this only three to
four minutes each day in the beginning, and let the
applicator be circulated about the body. One day let it be
held in the right hand, the next day let it be placed upon a
piece of glass and the bare left foot placed upon it; the
next day in the left hand, the next day the right foot, and
so on, circulating the body in this manner. However, do not
begin this until the number of adjustments have been made as
indicated.
We would continue to use a digestant occasionally, preferably
until the lesions have been entirely removed. As we find,
that carrying less of bismuth would be preferable. Hence we
would us ALCAROID, which as we find in the preferable form of
digestant. Once a day should be sufficient, taken after the
heavier meal; half a teaspoonful dissolved in a little water,
then the glass filled, and then another glass of water taken
afterwards.
Then, as to the diet, - which is very important, - we would
keep away from any great quantity of fried foods.
Have plenty of vegetables that are well cooked, plenty of
fruits or berries of all kinds in season.
We would not have any red meat, or rare meat.
Fish, fowl and lamb are preferable as the meats.
Cereals and fruit juices should not be taken at the same
meal.
As to the mental attitude, - this is just as necessary as the
physical or mechanical applications for the body.
Be with others more. Talk a great deal of those subjects not
a depressing nature. See more of the ridiculous or the funny
side of every activity. And keep the constructive thoughts
in creative activity always.
Do these and, as we have indicated, not only will we remove
the disturbance but also the causes, and be near to a normal
condition.
Ready for questions.
(Q) What causes occasional neuritis in left arm and leg?
(A) The poisons in the system from the lack of eliminations
through the colon. These are the sources of the neuritic
reactions. Hence the needs for plenty of eliminations, as
indicated, while the corrections are being made and the
changes being wrought. The colon should be cleansed
occasionally with the colonic irrigations, or hydrotherapy.
(Q) Is there any danger in the colonic irrigations?
(A) No danger if they are given by one who understands his
business, or a hydrotherapist, or a nurse trained in such.
As indicated, use only the saline-soda solution,
body-temperature; and we will not find any disturbance by
same.
(Q) You don't find any real organic trouble, then?
(A) No real organic trouble. As indicated, it may become
organic unless there is the removal of the causes of these
conditions.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND
6/30/40 Wife [
1992]'s letter: "For the past yr. he has been
suffering with a physical difficulty which has handicapped
his work and made his life almost intolerable. He will tell
you what the doctors have said, if you want to know, but the
fact remains that they have given him no relief whatever.
He is losing weight, and becoming morose and discouraged.
He now turns to you for help, and is eager to have a Physical
Rdg. For the present, that is his main interest in the
Ass'n, but perhaps through this beginning, he will come to a
fuller realization of the other aspects of your work."
REPORTS
GD's note: Mr. [
2298] said after listening to the reading
that it described his symptoms and inner feelings perfectly.
He was convinced that the diagnosis was absolutely correct.
7/11/40 Aunt-in-law [
1663]'s letter: "I just talked with my
nephew, Mr. [
2298], and he tells me he went to Dr. A. R.
Tucker yesterday and is pleased with his treatment. I am
urging him to follow the rdg. consistently and persistently
(as my ck.-up told me to do). It means a lot to me to see
him get well and I think you have found the solution for him.
It's all so wonderful!"
9/14/40 See
1992-4, Par. 34-A, 35-A in re how wife can help
him.
9/18/40 Dr. A. R. Tucker's letter: "I will appreciate it if
you will let me know what type machine you want Mr. [
2298] to
get for his electrical treatment. We have not been able to
find a machine in Raleigh."
9/19/40 EC's reply: "As I understand, Mr. [
2298] is to use
the plain violet ray machine with the hand applicator - not
the bulb at all but the anode with same that he holds in his
hand one time and uses on his foot the next. This he can use
at home if he wishes to buy a machine, and they are not
expensive - it is the electricity with the voltage taken out,
as I am told."
10/10/40 Wife [
1992]'s ltr.: "If you can put my husband's
name on the prayer list without his knowing it, I should like
that done. He is not quite ready to accept some of the
philosophy in connection with the readings, but he has
certainly been benefited by the Physical Reading."
1/07/48 Wife [
1992]'s letter: "My husband was in dire
distress when he went to Virginia Beach for his first
physical reading, and he was cured through the information
given."
11/28/66 Wife [
1992]'s letter: "My husband, [
2298], is in
need of help. He was in the hospital (at Duke) two weeks for
treatment of angina pectoris. At home now, he has recurring
attacks, and the doctors have been unable to stabilize the
episodes. The drugs have torn up his digestion. Sometime
back I wrote and asked for prayers. Will you see that they
are continued? I am cooperating by praying, too. Also, most
important, if you have a file on the rdgs. on angina please
send it at once."
11/30/66 GD's note: We sent the Circulating File on Angina
Pectoris containing reading
2046-3.
5/17/73 Wife [
1992] wrote: "I do so much appreciate [GD]
your getting in touch with the prayer group that night in
April when my husband was so ill. Apparently, God had a
different plan for him." [She enclosed death notice.]
