8/17/40 [
2341]'s letter to EC:
"I delayed writing you this long because I thought I could
send you some money on my balance ere this, but due to
illness of my husband for a while, his checks were so small,
I haven't had it, but hope to be able to send you some at
an early date. I carried your instructions and booklets
to Dr. B. R. Kinter, osteopath [B. R. Kinter, D.O.] and he
thinks it is wonderful and said he would do his utmost to
carry out your instructions. He gave me one treatment, but
it hurt me so badly through my chest, I haven't been able to
take another. I think, and so does he, that it was due to
this: About eight or nine months ago, I fell down the two
bottom steps to the basement and wrenched my back, hurt my
leg and evidently jerked the muscles and ligaments loose in
my chest. He had to strap me up for several days and gave
me heat treatments. I apparently recovered from this
accident, but this treatment a few days ago evidently tore
everything loose again, and I suffer just like I did at
the time of the accident. Would so love to have you give
me another reading and tell me what is wrong; also there
is another thing I would like for you to tell me. I didn't
get to ask you while I was at your place. But I have a
most aggravating itching around my vagina and rectum on
the outside. It almost drives me mad at times. It has
been bothering me about a year. Dr. Kinter thought it was
due to a lack of some secretion which the menopause destroyed
and gave me a number of shots to replace it, but it didn't
help. Would be so glad to find some relief from that.
Please let me hear from you at your earliest convenience.
I think you are doing a wonderful service to suffering
humanity..."
8/20/40 EC's letter to Mrs. [
2311]:
"Thanks for yours of the 17th. Certainly hope you are
feeling a great deal better. It appears the doctor should
have noted the necessity of going slow with the corrections
and given you a relaxing treatment rather than the corrective
at first. But I'm glad he will cooperate, and feel sure if
he will, he, like so many of the osteopaths over the country,
will get wonderful results. I'll be glad to give another
reading, but don't you think it best that you and the doctor
get this one started in the right direction, else we may just
have a bawling out of one kind or another. But after you
have taken, say six or ten treatments, then check up and
see what is being accomplished. If, as you say, he has only
broken up the lesions and causing so much pain, he should be
able to meet this and get you to feeling some better again.
"Let me hear from you as to how you feel. I know the reading
of itself doesn't help. The use of the suggestion made is
where the help comes from..."
10/27/40 Mrs. [
2311]'s letter to EC:
"I will be at the above address, upstairs in the living room,
on Wednesday a.m. from 10:30 to 11 o'clock for the reading
as per your instructions over the phone on Friday night.
I would like for you to tell me what causes itching around
my vagina and rectum. It has been bothering me over a year,
and my doctor at home hasn't done me any good at all. In
fact, he says he doesn't know the cause. I will appreciate
this and will be at this address until November 2nd. I am
enclosing $2.00. Thanks a lot. I didn't get started on my
adjustments regularly until last week. When Dr. Kinter gave
me my first adjustment he hurt me as I wrote you before.
Then by the time that healed, I had an accident and tore the
ligaments loose from a rib. Hence my delay. I will write
you again soon after I go home..."

2/15/71 Daughter's verbal report to MGS:
"Mother is well and doing fine. She did follow her reading,
and still follows the diet suggestion. She was having
trouble with her digestion at the time she had the reading.
She had some rheumatism when she got the reading, and has
arthritis now. The kind that effects the joints, and some
trouble with the hip. The doctor, Dr. Kinter, said that
the rheumatism was the beginning of the arthritic condition."
