9/17/40 HLC's letter to [

Miss [

..., Va.
Dear Miss [
2323]
I have before me your Life Reading.
We are very much interested in helping you make practical
application of this information. The Reading was very
specific in explaining the cause of your fears, and in
suggesting the line of activity which would bring you
freedom and release.
May I suggest that you give me an opportunity to go over this
Reading with you and discuss it in greater detail. If you
can arrange to come out to Virginia Beach some afternoon, I
shall be glad to spend a couple of hours with you on it. If
this is not suitable, I strongly recommend that you get in
touch with:
Mrs. M. J. Williams, 416 Pembroke Ave., Norfolk, Va. Phone
35673
Mrs. Williams has had considerable experience in helping
individuals interpret and use their information. She will
be glad to give you the time to discuss and clarify your
Reading.
I'd appreciate very much your giving us a report on this
information, advising us how accurate it was in analyzing
your characteristics and temperament, giving your opinion
on it.
Sincerely,
Hugh Lynn Cayce, Manager [HLC:GD]

Dear Mr. Cayce:
I should like very much to see you on Saturday, March 15, at
any time - in the morning or in the afternoon if you will be
free then.
I had a reading last summer in August and there are many
things in it which I don't understand and so I would like
to have you in particular to explain them to me.
I shall be most grateful if you will see me then and I shall
be looking forward to seeing you.
Yours very truly, [

Dear Miss [
2323]
Have yours of the 10th - while we have an appointment for
all day the 15th for people from out of town, and they
will possibly be here. Could you come about two P.M. Feel
sure would have time or would make the time to go over your
reading with you, personally, and will be very happy to try
and help you get something really worthwhile from same.
Hoping then to see you and to be of a help.
Sincerely [signed] Edgar Cayce

Dear Mr. Cayce:
I am very sorry that I did not keep the appointment with
you on Saturday at 2 o'clock, but as you seemed so uncertain
about the time I thought it would be better to postpone the
trip. If it is convenient I should like to come this Friday
afternoon or sometime Saturday.
Yours very truly, [

Dear Miss [

Yours of the 17th received - will expect you Friday
afternoon.
Sincerely hope to be of a help. [signed] Edgar Cayce
[GD's note: I don't believe she came.]
11/48 A Volunteer Worker on the Edgar Cayce Foundation fund
raising champaign, to get financial help in microfilming the
readings for preservation and availability anonymously for
research, visited Miss [

mother who gave us Miss [
2323]'s address in N.Y.
12/49 [

Dear Miss Schor [Mrs. Rhea Schor, worker on E.C.F. campaign
in N.Y.]:
Thank you for your very kind invitation to the "tea party" on
Saturday afternoon but I should be unable to come.
While I think Mr. Cayce's work was quite remarkable in
itself, I find that I am no longer interested in it. I had
a "spiritual reading" rather than a physical and so far as
I can determine it was of no value in benefiting my life.
I have heard of very remarkable physical readings when he
diagnosed cases and prescribed for the patients whereby
cures were effected.
I am an earnest searcher for Truth, but am convinced it is
not in the realm of the psychic but wholly and completely in
the realm of spirit.
Thank you again for your invitation.
Sincerely, [
2323]
1/19/50 She wrote asking that we NOT send her notices of N.Y.
lectures.
3/13/81 Miss [
2323] visited E.C.F. and asked to see a copy of
her Life Reading. GD's note: She told me afterwards that
the reading had certainly been prophetic, that she wished now
that she had followed the advice; I sensed that she is still
fearful and blaming herself for some guilt in her younger
life, which may be mostly a karmic thing from her past
[incarnation] life. She bought HLC's FACES OF FEAR, on
my suggestion.
