9/26/40 Mrs. [
808]'s letter:
Dear Edgar:
The reading was received yesterday in regard to [
2367] and
after reading it last night it looks to me as though there
is some hope for the child. [
2784] asked me to get this
letter off to you this morning in regard to the Cobra Venom.
He wonders where it can be purchased, in what quantities it
should be given, and how often. I guess we can find out from
[
816] about the crushed grape packs because as I recall he
had to give those to his sister [
1419]. So if you will
just let me know about the Cobra Venom, [
2784] can pass the
information on to Mr. [...] or you could write him direct.
He wasn't there yesterday so hasn't seen the reading yet.
[
2784] thinks his daughter might have been worse but we are
hoping that they will get her home from the hospital and
carry out the instructions of the reading exactly. I know
[
2784] will do everything in his power to get them to do it.
Want to get this off in the 9:30 mail so will have to cut
this short. [
2784] fell on the boards leading in to our back
door last night and hurt his ankle. He is going out to the
Sanitarium this morning to see if he broke any bones - It
hurt him quite a bit during the night. I'M hoping it's
nothing serious.
We are still looking forward to your visit so don't
disappoint us.
Love, [
808]
9/27/40 EC's ltr. to Mrs. [
808]:
Dear [
808]:
Replying to yours of the 26th. You obtain the Venom from
Hynson, Westcott and Dunning, Baltimore, Md. Of course, it
can only be administered by a physician, as he has to watch
closely the first reaction.
Do not know the cost but usually get a box of it - ten
ampules, I believe. Do hope it works as well as it has
for the two or three persons it has been suggested for.
Will try and get this off at once so you will have it
tomorrow at least.
Love to each of you
Ever the same [signed] Edgar Cayce
10/02/40 Mrs. [
808]'s letter:
Dear Edgar:
Just a note again hurriedly - It seems everytime I write you
lately it is in a hurry. Well, anyway, [
2784] wants to know
if you know of a doctor in Baltimore or nearby that could
carry out the treatments for this [
2367] girl as her doctor
refuses to follow instructions. She is in a Baltimore
hospital and they can't possibly move her. [
2784] gave him
the information about the cobra venom and they both wish to
thank you for your trouble. They are quite concerned about
this girl and he doesn't know what to do now that the doctor
refuses to follow your instructions, so if you do happen to
know of a doctor there, I'm sure they would be glad to hear
about him.
10/15/40 Mrs. [
808]'s letter:
Dear Edgar:
Thanks a lot for your letter answering our two last
questions. The little [
2367] child is still alive but the
doctor refuses to carry out the instructions. I think they
are keeping her quite doped up now and there isn't any hope
for her recovery. I feel so sorry for them as they are
taking it awfully hard and naturally they would. Gosh,
the doctor has nothing to lose by carrying out the
instructions if he has given up hope anyway, but apparently
he can't be convinced. [
2784] said he has done all he can
do about persuading him to do it and now it is up to them.
They had operated on her spine about a week before the
reading and he Mr. [...] can't understand why something
wasn't said about that. I think they found a tumor. [
2784]
said that Mr. [...] told him that his little girl asked him
to get her a wrist watch when she got well. Of course,
he has gotten it for her now but the poor little thing
apparently thinks she is going to get well. Probably that
is what has kept her alive all this time. I do hope and pray
that if there isn't any hope for her recovery that the Lord
takes her soon because she is suffering so terribly.
3/24/50 Mrs. [
808] told HLC that [
2367] did die, and that
now her father is also dead.
