TEXT

1. HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2378].
3. As we find, there are disturbances of which the body should be warned; and taking these in time we may eliminate a great deal of disturbance later on.
4. We find that these affect more directly the respiratory system. There has been an infection there, and this - with the subluxations - has caused a great deal of distress through the whole of the circulatory system, and gives rise to a weakness in the assimilating system, as well as the digestive system.
5. These are the sources of disturbances; and the effects are in the nervous forces, in the head and in the throat, and in the nasal passages at times. As we find, these are the basis of the disturbance.
6. The blood supply indicates an impoverishment, and thus a form of condition in which there is quite a variation at times as to the pressure, as well as to the pulsation, and the balance between the white blood forces and the red blood supply. Each of these at some times shows deficiencies, but more of a variation in the red than the white in the present.
7. In the nervous system, - because of some lesions, from cold and congestion, and the tendencies from the very nature of the disturbances in the respiratory system of there being a superacidity, - we find the tendencies for the body to easily take cold, as well as those tendencies for those pressures that give the disturbances in the central nervous system - or the form of disturbance with the organs of the respiratory system, as well as pains through portions of the head at times.
8. In the functioning of the organs themselves, we find the greater disturbance exists in the respiratory system. While these are not entirely latent, they are not overactive, save with the excess of acidity or cold in the body.
9. The heart activity is irregular, and the digestive system is upset at times - and this at times when there is lack of proper digestion through the system, and lack of the proper balance between the lacteals and the acid forces in the body.
10. The liver, as we find, is torpid at times, and there is the lack of proper eliminations, the lack of coordination of the circulation between the liver and the kidneys.
11. In making corrective forces for the body, as we find:
12. We would first begin with the use of the inhalation of fumes from Pure Apple Brandy in a charred keg, and this kept well where there may be the easy evaporation - by a little heat near same. Make one small opening and one where the inhaling of same into the lungs will make for purifying and strengthening and building up of the body. Use this at least two to three times each day - three or four deep inhalations each time. Keep well corked, of course, when not in use. Use at least half a gallon in such a keg (about a two or two and a half gallon keg, see?)
13. Each day take internally three-fourths of a teaspoonful of ACIGEST in raw milk.
14. At least three times each week take CALCIOS, to add more calcium to the body; about the quantity that would be thinly spread on a whole wheat cracker.
15. After the Fumes from the Apple Brandy have been used for about a week, also the Acigest and Calcios, - we would begin with a general relaxing of the body at least once a week, osteopathically, with particular reference to those areas in the upper dorsal and in the lumbar axis.
16. In the diets, - take all the fats the body can well assimilate. These should include, of course, a great deal of milk, butterfats, cheese, all of those foods that are easily assimilated, but no fried foods. The fats should be in the butterfats, rather than greases of meats; though fish and fowl may be taken - these should be the principal meats taken.
17. Plenty of cereals and the whole grain cereals, and oatmeal and the like.
18. Do these, as we find, to bring the better forces for this body.
19. Ready for questions.
20. (Q) What causes the frequent bleeding from rectum?
    (A) This is a condition arising from the sphincter nerve centers. With the correction of those conditions in the lumbar axis, this should disappear.
But when there is a great deal of disturbance, use an injection for same - prepared in this manner:
Put two drops of Carbolic Acid in one ounce of Glycerine and stir well. Then mix this with at least two ounces of Usoline (or Nujol). This would be sufficient quantity for at least two injections. Use this with an ear syringe or a baby syringe, or the like - the small bulb with the hard tube, see?
21. (Q) Is my present work, where I have to sit so much, beneficial or harmful to this condition?
    (A) The environs and the surroundings, and the natural conditions, are not conducive to the best. Keep the body in the open as much as practical, - this would be much preferable for the body-conditions. The thing to be most feared is the respiratory condition.
22. (Q) Do my emotions affect my physical condition?
    (A) Naturally.
23. (Q) Are my present living conditions conducive to my best health?
    (A) These you can make so, by the determination - or the activities of the body itself can make them conducive to good conditions.
24. (Q) Do my eyes need any special treatment?
    (A) Only the general building up of the body at present.
25. (Q) Should I get glasses?
    (A) Not in the present. After there have been at least eight to ten osteopathic adjustments, as we have indicated, - which should be eight to ten weeks, - then they may be tested - that would be the time; not during the period when these treatments here suggested are being taken.
26. (Q) What can I do to sleep better?
    (A) Get the body rested, or physically tired and not mentally overanxious! But this will be much better when the condition in the respiratory system is bettered.
27. (Q) Will the treatments suggested relieve the frequent indigestion?
    (A) As indicated, this is a part of the disturbance - but arises more from a very subtle condition?
28. (Q) Can anything be done to keep my skin and hair from being so oily?
    (A) By the use of the treatments as suggested, we will find the whole physical condition will be much bettered.
29. (Q) Please give an affirmation that will help me?
    (A) KEEP ME, O LORD, IN THE WAY THAT I SHOULD GO DAILY; THAT I MAY BE A GREATER CHANNEL TO THOSE TOWARD WHOM THOU WOULD DIRECT ME, TO THE GLORY OF THY NAME IN THE CHRIST-JESUS.
But do be mindful of this disturbance in the respiratory system; it may become serious unless measures are taken for correction.
30. We are through for the present.

(See drawing [which was enclosed] to illustrate how keg is prepared for Apple Brandy Fumes.
Both Acigest and Calcios are manufactured and distributed by: The Colloidal Health Products Corp., Atten. A. A. Nichoson, Greenvale, Long Island, New York. The Acigest is hydrochloric acid in a form easily assimilated, and sells for $1 a bottle. Calcios is calcium in a free state that, according to the Rdgs., may be most easily assimilated; being a syrupy paste that sells for $2.50 a jar.
See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for osteopath - Dr. C. W. Irvin, Bankers Trust Bldg., Norfolk, Va.
[2378], Mr. Cayce says at the end of ten weeks we will give you a Check Reading to see what you should do next; whether you should go away then or just what. So do every single thing, and make a list of questions about everything you can think of, and let us know when it is time for the check. Love, GD.)
