Mr. [

Dear Mr. [
2419]
Through your phone call to A.R.E. Library on April 4th I was
asked to furnish information on Joan Grant's lectures here in
1964 on reincarnation, etc., which the librarian could read
to you when you called back.
Thus I received your current address and at this late date am
writing to make contact and to ask if you have anything you
wish to report for the Edgar Cayce Foundation Archives in
regard to your Life Reading given on December 12, 1940, for
which I was the stenographer.
A routine mailing to you in December 1942 came back marked
MOVED. We did not hear from you again until Feb. 1957 when
you asked for and were sent a copy of your Life Reading. SO,
it was fortunate that the A.R.E. Librarian came to me with
your request about Joan Grant. Your name rang a bell, and
sure enough there was your name in the Key Book of those who
had readings.
We'd like to record under your Case Number (2419-1), not
using your name except in the vault archives, whatever you
care to tell us about your reaction to your Life Reading at
the time you received it and also after all these years of
living with it in the background.
I don't find your name under our current A.R.E. mailing list
of members so I am taking the liberty of having sent to you
current data about our activities - how we are trying to
research and make available helpful information from the
Edgar Cayce records.
Thanks in advance for any information you may be willing to
share with us in regard to your reading.
Sincerely,
[signed] Gladys Davis Turner

Mrs. Gladys Davis Turner
Association for Research and
Enlightenment, Inc.
Virginia Beach, Virginia
Dear Mrs. Turner:
An apology is offered for delaying an answer to your nice
letter of June 17th.
Much has taken place in the development of my inner forces
since my original contact with you good people. A great deal
of travel has permitted me to investigate many ideas designed
to assist mankind to "find themselves".
The basic principle of Reincarnation fought by the church in
all denominations will yet be accepted in lieu of dogma.
Still, without Karma, it too will have to adjust itself.
For some time now I have found, what to me, is the most
spiritual satisfying philosophy, that based in Anthroposophy,
the teaching fostered by Dr. Rudolf Steiner of whom I feel
certain you are aware.
I have frequently mentioned the work of Edgar Cayce to folks
in addition to calling their attention to the fact that
Reincarnation is the philosophy of millions. One must want
to know about these matters so an idea is suggested for
further investigation.
Much as I appreciate your willingness to send to me a copy of
my Life Reading of 1940 it would only resolve itself into a
matter of curiosity at present which must not be catered to.
Again thanking you and wishing you continued happiness and
success in your work, I remain,
Sincerely, [
