8/07/64 HLC's memo to GD:
The daughter of [
2427] [[H...] as in 2427-1, Par. 60-A]
came in and talked with me today about her mother's reading.
The following points were confirmed:
The reading indicated that the mother had developed unusual
business capacities in the incarnation just before the
present one in early America, and that in that incarnation
she had led the present husband astray, so to speak. She had
brought over, as I understand the reading, the business
abilities from the early American incarnation, where she had
gained some social prominence. In this life, as the daughter
put it, she was "the breadwinner of the family," a business
woman and highly successful in various business ventures.
The husband, the father of the daughter I talked to,
apparently was having affairs with other women. This was of
great concern to the entire family. It would appear that he
was spoiling a possible socially and economically successful
family situation by scandal. The same kind of scandal for
which the mother had been responsible in the previous
American incarnation.
The mother apparently developed a particularly strong
religious interest as indicated in the reading, in the latter
part of her life. It is interesting to note that she was
particularly active in Christian Science at one point, and as
a person who was said to have seen Jesus and watched him
heal, this makes an interesting note.
The reading mentioned musical talents and interests, which
the daughter pointed out was quite true. The mother played
and sang and encouraged the daughters of the family do
likewise.
[
2427] (the mother) did not follow the suggestions given in
the readings to leave the husband. The problems and
difficulties in the family apparently continued after the
reading was given. She did, however, follow the suggestions
regarding business and did expand very successfully into a
larger proposition, apparently a large hotel at the beach.
