1/02/41 (Thursday) Mrs. [
2429]'s ltr. to EC:
My dear Mr. Cayce,
I regret very much that my husband and I will not be able
to drive down to your place to have my "Health" reading.
My husband had an automobile accident last week and our car
is completely smashed.
I shall be in my living room, ... St., N.W., Wash., D.C. when
the reading will take place.
Here are a few questions I would like to ask in the reading.
1- What causes that veil like appearance to come before my
eyes, also the quivering in the upper lid of the left eye?
and my sight fails me at times.
2- My feet and ankles swell quite frequently. Is this due
to a kidney condition?
3- Pains shoot through my toes and feet, at times, what
causes this?
4- I get a fluttering sensation in my solar plexus, and
a feeling of anxiety, what is the meaning of this?
5- Recently I'm getting pains in both my shoulder blades
and in the spine. There is a spot in the spine between
the shoulder blades that is quite painful to the touch.
6- I get cold quite frequently and at times find it hard
breathing deeply.
7- Just before my menstruation period I've been getting sort
of pricking sensation in the regent [region?] of the sigmoid
colon.
8- I have very little energy and pep lately and find it hard
to do things I should be doing, I'm always tired.
I'm enclosing a money order for Twenty-dollars ($20.00)
for the reading and regret we aren't going to have the
opportunity of meeting you at this time and seeing your work.
I hope to be able to arrange to have you give a reading for
my husband at which time we may be able to make the trip.
Miss [
1387] was so pleased to hear I was going to get a
reading from you.
Sincerely yours, Mrs. [
2429],

1/08/41 Mrs. [
2429]'s ltr. to GD:
Wash., D.C.
Dear Miss Davis,
Your letter came this morning and I was certainly sorry to
hear of Mr. Cayce's illness.
Knowing a little of the wonderful work Mr. Cayce is
accomplishing in the various types of readings he gives
and wanting to get the very best results from the one I am
looking forward to getting I would like to change the day to
a Saturday or Sunday.
I had taken this week off to get the reading and upon
returning to work again this coming Monday I couldn't
guarantee I could be at a specific place at a time because
my work often calls me to be at different places at times.
If you can arrange for the reading on Sat. Jan. 18 or Sun.
Jan. 19 at 3:30 to 4:30 P.M. I will greatly appreciate it.
My husband and I had a most delightful visit with Mrs. [
264]
today. She gives us even more enthusiasm than we had in
wanting to meet and see more of Mr. Cayce's work.
May I also add a few more questions to the one I have already
asked in my previous letter.
9- Please give the name of the Dr. who can give me treatments
I may need.
10- What have I done previously to bring on the present
condition?
11- Do I have a tumor as I have been advised by a physician.
12- Can you give me any advice that will be helpful to me
at this time.
I sincerely hope Mr. Cayce will be very much better by now.
Peace Profound, Mrs. [
2429]
P.S. Will you please send my reading to me "special
delivery" so I may go over it with Mrs. [
264] and put it into
execution. Thank you.

REPORTS
1/31/41 Mrs. [
264]'s letter: "Mrs. [
2429] is so happy over
her reading. She will USE it, and GET WELL too."
3/05/41 Mrs. [
2429]'s ltr. to EC:
Wash., D.C.
Dear Mr. Cayce,
I have hesitated to write to you and tell you about the
results of my treatments.
On several occasions, I suffered some of my terrific
headaches of days. I had hoped and am looking forward to
as being past forever. This, of course, I realize was just a
reactionary effect of the treatments. There was also some
more reactionary effects but they are all cleared up now
and from now on I'm looking forward to almost miraculous
things to happen.
Dr. Waters is well pleased with the results she is getting
in straighten [straightening] and strengthening my back.
She said that was a marked improvement in my arches.
Who wouldn't be happy getting results like this after only
nine treatments?
By the time I have finished the number of series of
treatments prescribed, I'm going to be hopping around like
my school days take me back in thoughts of carefree days and
I'll have vim, vigor and vitality to give to others who may
need it.
God bless the wonderful work you are doing and I shall do
all in my power to spread its wonderfulness to all I come
in contact with.
Sincerely, [
2429]

9/15/43 Miss [
1387]'s letter: "I am enclosing a check
for a copy of A SEARCH FOR GOD to be sent to my friend
Mrs. [
2429] (She had a health reading)... Will you please
ask EC to autograph it to her. She is expecting her first
baby in the end of October and perhaps he would put in
some verse that had bearing on that if it is not too much
trouble."
