This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of March, 1941, in accordance with request made by the husband - Mr. [...], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [2463].
3. As we find, there is rather the complication of disturbances causing the disorder in the physical forces as well as the reaction in the mental forces of this body.
4. These have to do with the changes that are being wrought in the activity of the glandular system, as well as the effects that have been and are being produced upon the system by the unbalanced condition in the chemical forces - which has been and is a part of the general disturbance.
5. This makes for the high nervous tension that comes at times, combined with the insomnia and the easily tiring, as well as the periods when every kind or character of disturbance apparently becomes an awareness for the body - or is indicated as a part of the body's experience.
6. Then, as indicated, we have those reactions from the unbalanced condition, in which there is the lack of gold as well as of the activities to purify the glandular forces that is, iodine for the system.
7. Thus we have a combination of disturbances bringing all the varying effects of disorders through the body; the inability at times of assimilation, at other times the tendency for too great a reaction. And the body becomes then overburdened with all the problems not only of self but of all those surrounding self. Then there are other periods when apparently no notice is taken of others, and when there is the inability of the impulse for the activity physically or any social reaction.
8. All of these become a part of the disturbances through the body.
9. As we find, there should be - first - the corrections made that are needed throughout the whole area of the cerebro-spinal system, making for close coordinations in the specific areas in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th cervical, the 5th and 6th dorsal, and throughout the lumbar and sacral areas.
10. Give two of such corrections first.
11. Then after that, combine with these corrections - that is, on the same day that the corrections are made, you see - the Short Wave electrical forces that will aid in combining for the body the principles indicated as lacking in the chemical forces of the system itself.
12. These principles, chemical forces or properties, may be taken by mouth - about twenty to thirty minutes before the vibratory treatment or Short Wave is given; at one period giving the Gold, the next time the Atomidine. And we would give these treatments about three times each week, - that is, the corrections mechanically, the medicinal properties AND the Short Wave; but alternating the Gold and Atomidine - one used one time, the other the next, and so on. The corrections would be made first, then the properties taken internally, and then the Short Wave to produce the proper reaction of same through the assimilating system.
13. The Gold Solution would be prepared and kept on hand for this purpose; the proportions being one grain Chloride of Gold to one ounce of Distilled Water. The dosage, when given, would be one drop of this Solution in half an ounce of water distilled water.
14. The next time, about thirty minutes before the Short Wave is given, take two drops of Atomidine in half a glass of water.
15. Continue alternating these in this manner.
16. Give about two of the corrections before starting the chemicals and the Short Wave treatments with same.
17. If there is the consistent and persistent use of these as indicated, we find that there will be brought better conditions for this body.
18. These as we find - ALL of these treatments - may be best administered by one such as Dr. Mary Miller.
19. Do that.
20. As to diet, - this we would change according to that indicated through the Short Wave, and according to the elements indicated as lacking in the chemical balance other than those here indicated to be stimulated in the system by taking these properties internally.
21. Hence we would leave off much of fats. We would have a great deal of the raw vegetables, as well as those that will act as laxatives and eliminates for the system.
