3/23/41 Mr. [
257]'s letter: "I wrote these questions with
[

on a note blank. He is now Vice-Pres. and just got [

son a job with M.I.T. What a difference it is where you are
an official. He is now in position to give Edgar E. a good
situation when we are ready. He arranged the last meeting
but now is in position to command. Please send me a copy of
Reading so I can talk to him on the phone. I am enclosing my
check and he will send you a donation for the Building also.
You remember he got a Reading on his wife [

died. He is my very, very good friend, and also yours.
"Wire [
2477] what time to be at home. He is only at home on
Sunday, as he has 66 plants he buys for.
"For Sunday afternoon wire him Saturday the time you are
giving it."
