5/20/41 [
2506]'s letter to EC:
"Mr. Kahn said he'd write you about me. As I said before, I
read for him. He told me to send you $5.00 and you'd give me
a full Life reading, just the same as though I'd joined your
Association and paid the twenty dollars fee. He also said to
tell you to make an extra copy and send it to him. If this
doesn't meet with your approval, you can return the check to
me. I'd like to have the reading, if you care to comply to
his wishes and mine. I hope to see you in person also
someday. Mr. Kahn said you'd send me the time and date when
you'd read for me, so I could do as per your instructions.
I'd prefer the morning time. I suppose you have daylight
savings time, too, same as Chicago has. The town, Alton,
Illinois, my birth place is twenty-seven miles north of St.
Louis, Mo. Mr. Kahn hoped I could send you some members.
(full price). I'll try, too.
"He also said you'd tell me how to benefit myself financially
and how to improve my health, and what to do in the future,
here on this earth. I weigh 240 pounds and am 5 feet, 10
inches tall; the first born of twelve children. Nine of us
are still living. Mother passed on with the last child in
July, 1906, and my father passed on in February, 1930 with a
stroke. I've lived alone since my divorce in 1923..."

5/23/41 EC's letter to [
2506]:
"I have yours of the 20th, and am making the appointment for
the afternoon of the 27th, 3:30 to 4:30, EST. No, we are on
standard time, and if you have daylight time, it will make it
the same hour with you.
"I sincerely hope we may be of a real service.
"As suggested, - was willing to give you the courtesy of the
profession - but just as you like it. Will be glad to give
whatever is presented for you at the time set.
"Hoping to help and that you may be able to come to the
Congress in June..."
"P.S. Our experience is, if you are quiet and in a
meditative prayerful frame of mind, it helps a lot with the
type of reading you get."
REPORTS
4/17/50 Report by E.C.F. campaign worker, Irene Frick:
"Would suggest striking this name off the Association mailing
list. She is contemptuous in her attitude regarding Edgar
Cayce, the Association, and everything connected with it;
says it is 'fraud.'"
