751]'s letter: "Dear Mr. Cayce: Supplementing
my letter to you of yesterday's date, I want to give you a
complete picture of my Mother's case with some questions to
be asked in the check-reading for next Tuesday, June 17th.
"My Mother is very sick and if you can arrange to give this
reading before next Tuesday, I want to assure you that same
will be very greatly appreciated as it may mean a difference
in her life. She was operated on last October for a fistula
in her rectum which upon examination proved malignant. At
the time of the operation, they removed the muscle in the
rectum which controls same. She came home from the hospital
in November and has practically been bedridden since then.
"She developed a little pus pocket in the right groin and
same had to be opened so that it could drain. This small
opening has developed to the stage where it is now about 3"
long and about 1 1/2" deep. It constantly drains and is very
painful and annoying. She has lost a lot of weight and we
try to keep her at ease by injections of morphine. However,
the pain is considerable.
"I have been giving her a lot of B-1 tablets because it has
been difficult for her to take much food. We used to give
her an enema every second day but we find that it is very
weakening and we have had to make this every third and
sometimes every fourth day. All in all, the picture is
quite black.
"I am enclosing herein a self-addressed envelope for your
convenience and I would be very grateful if you would answer
the questions attached hereto as soon as you can and mail
your reply to me in this envelope.
"Many thanks for rushing this through all possible!"
