TEXT

GC: You will answer the questions that have been submitted regarding the condition of this body, as I ask them:
EC: Yes, we have the body, [2512]; this we have had before.
Ready for questions.
(Q) Is the diagnosis of cancer the correct one and is it the primary cause for her condition?
(A) The primary cause is an unbalanced chemical condition through the body, but it is localized - and the inducing of those influences which caused the setting up of the condition is now malignant in its nature.
(Q) Is there any growth in the abdomen or stomach or any part of the body?
(A) As we find, there are lymph pockets through the abdomen that might become growths, but we do not find that this will necessarily be true; owing to the shortness of that ability of the body to maintain its strength and vitality.
(Q) Can the open wound in the groin be healed and how, and if it were healed, would that mean that the patient was cured?
(A) The best application for same would be for it not to be healed, unless there could be drainages set up otherwise in the hydrotherapy; that is, the hot and cold, the massage, and the cleansing of the system. With this done, the use then of the Ultra-Violet with the Ash might bring help; but in the present we find that it would be best to only have portions of the hydrotherapy AND the ultra-violet with the green light, - this applied, the ultra-violet, for about two minutes, to the side or back rather than directly upon the wound area.
(Q) Because of her present weakness, will colonics or enemas make her weaker?
(A) Not if they are administered properly; body-temperature, and with the cleansings for the alimentary canal used in same, - salt and soda in the first cleansing water, Glyco-Thymoline or the like in the last purifying water.
(Q) Just what specific hydrotherapy treatments should she have?
(A) As indicated, colonics, with the massage and the hot and cold applications.
(Q) Should any stimulants be used at any time?
(A) Beef juice may be administered, but this would necessarily be in very small quantities at a time, and this sipped very little at a time. This would be the most strengthening.
To be sure, it is necessary to give the stimulants in the form of the narcotic or hypnotics for relief from suffering, but this continual draining and the continual breaking into cellular force - or blood cells - is very weakening. Thus the necessity for a stimulant that is easily assimilated and blood building, such as beef juice.
(Q) Should we continue using sedatives such as codeine and pantapon? Or can you suggest something else which would eliminate the pain and not make her so sleepy?
(A) Best to continue to administer these, or hypnotics.
(Q) Is the condition spreading?
(A) Spreading somewhat.
(Q) Since she cannot be moved from her home and bed, what treatments should be given and how should they be given?
(A) The hydrotherapy treatments as indicated should be given, but applied in the home - by one, however, who thoroughly understands same.
(Q) What foods are best for her considering her eliminating ability?
(A) As has been indicated.
(Q) Are oranges, grapefruit and bananas good for her?
(A) Oranges and grapefruit, but bananas are not so good. Take all of those that are of the yellow variety, such as: Squash, corn, corn meal, peaches and such. And it is well to keep not injections, if practical, but the vitamins of B-1 to create better coagulation.
(Q) What caused this condition originally, and where and how did it first show manifestation?
(A) An unbalancing of the chemical forces, and then localized by operative measures, of course, in the lower portion of alimentary canal, and the condition of the blood supply at the time caused the acute condition to arise. Do these things, though. These will be the better for the body, as indicated.
(Q) What caused the condition in the rectum?
(A) The irritation to the area by the lack of proper eliminations.
(Q) Is there anything to be done to relieve the pain in her right leg, or to give her better circulation in this leg?
(A) The massage with oils, especially of Pure Peanut Oil - and this gently across the abdomen as well as the back will be most beneficial.
(Q) Is there any metastasis in the blood stream and if so, where has it spread?
(A) This is more indicated in the wound than otherwise in the present, though - as given - it is spreading into the other tissue.
(Q) Is there any break or rupture in the wall between the rectum and the vagina?
(A) Not as yet - it is thinned but not broken entirely through. The better applications are the massages, the enemas or irrigations, consistently and properly done, AND the use of the violet ray with the green light - not without the green light.
(Q) Are there any medications, injections or applications which might be helpful to cure this condition?
(A) These we would do at the present, as indicated. They offer a prolonging, at least, of the body-forces.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND

See 2512-1 on 6/05/41 for cancer of the rectum. [She was operated on last Oct. for fistula in rectum which upon examination proved malignant.]
6/11/41 Son [751] submitted further questions.

REPORTS

7/10/41 EC's letter to Mr. [751]: "Thank you for yours of the 7th. Am sorry indeed to hear of your mother's passing [6/20/41], yet - with all the suffering she must have had - am sure you would not have it otherwise, if she had to suffer so. I know from my own personal experience what it means to lose one's mother. No one can take that place. But may God in His mercy give you strength and faith, to keep and cherish all the opportunities she has given you here and now.
"I do not think we will be in N.Y. before the fall, Mr. [751], but we will notify you and hope to see you at that time. With every good wish, I am" Sincerely, Edgar Cayce
