TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2516]; this we have had before.
3. While there are some betterments, still there is much to be desired in eliminating the sources and the causes of the distresses; especially through the lumbar, sacral and the locomotory nerves to the lower extremities particularly.
4. In the present we would add these applications, just before there is the attempt to make the osteopathic adjustments to alleviate these pressures, - relaxing the body thoroughly with wet heat, but of this character:
5. Under the direction of a physician combine three parts Tincture of Laudanum and one part Aconite.
6. Use this to paint over the area in the lumbar and the sacral, and the lumbar CENTERS - those portions of the tendons and nerves to the lower extremities - painting with a camels' hair brush, or the like.
7. Then apply hot packs from a saturated solution of Epsom Salts. Apply these about two or three times; heavy towels wrung out in the saturated solution.
8. This would relax the body.
9. THEN make the osteopathic corrections, and we find that there will be the ability to make those adjustments in the way that will alleviate these disturbances.
10. Keep up good eliminations. Use the eliminants of a senna base, - such as the tea made from senna pods, or the like, - followed with the mineral salts. There should be at least two or three good bowel movements each day.
11. Then with the quiet, and the diet, these should bring the better conditions for the body.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) Should the Violet Ray be continued?
    (A) Be continued.
14. (Q) Should the other Epsom Salts Packs be continued as previously outlined?
    (A) In the place of same we would use these as we have indicated here; these to be used BEFORE the osteopathic adjustments are to be made, see?
15. (Q) Is the osteopathic treatment correct that I am receiving?
    (A) As indicated, this should go deeper. Thus the applying of those things which will allow this to go deeper.
16. (Q) How many Aspirins can I safely take in 24 hours?
    (A) Ten.
17. (Q) What produced these poisons and nerve pressures in the first place?
    (A) Unbalanced condition and lack of proper eliminations.
18. (Q) Is the condition due to an injury, a wrench in my back, which I received in the spring? (followed by Grippe)
    (A) This, of course, only localized it.
Do these, and we will bring the better conditions for this body.
19. We are through with this Reading.

Copy to Self (two copies, one for Dr. Hudgins)
    Copy to Ass'n file
(7/11/41 GD's note: If you have to have a prescription in order to get the Laudanum and Aconite compounded, we suggest that you get in touch with Dr. Jas. R. Parker, Bankers Trust Bldg.
Senna Pods may be gotten from Burrow-Martin or People's. Pour a cup of boiling water over 6 or 7 pods and allow to steep as tea, or more pods may be added if this doesn't seem strong enough after you have taken a round of it. Drink this - the whole quantity - each day for two or three days, - then take a good dose of the Alka-Seltzer. Keep up this procedure off and on as needed to keep good eliminations.)

1. See 2516-1.
2. Still having to take Aspirin; Dr. Hudgins can't relax him, he is too stiff & rigid to make the adjustments. Dr. Hudgins suggested a Ck. Rdg.
