7/06/41 [
2519]'s letter to EC:
..., New Mexico
Dear Mr. Cayce:-
I received the reading the 3rd and want to thank you very,
very much. I wish it were possible for me to talk with you,
whereby I could gain a fuller understanding of same.
Since receiving it, I have read, and reread it many times
besides going through the bible to more fully determine it's
meanings. That is why I would like to talk to you, or
someone who can interpret the meanings, such as the symbol of
the seal, such as the cross without the Master on same, also
the sheaves of grain, the home disturbed by one leaving same
etc.
It is indeed very interesting, I only wish I knew more about
it. I will have to tell you my experience. The day you gave
the reading I dismissed all material things from my mind, was
completely relaxed lying on the bed. It seems a man a very
pleasant fatherly type with long white hair sat at my bedside
all during the time.
We are having very hot dry weather here, however, our nights
are very cool and pleasant. [
1180] said to tell you he would
write you when he had something to write about. His thoughts
seem to be disturbed of late, as the well is still at a
standstill. The California people were here but as yet we
have heard nothing definite as to the possibilities of
starting something, and we feel we should have something
working.
I wish you would write and tell me what you think of the
reading, and if I have any connection around there. Again
thanking you for your kindness in giving me this reading, and
hoping to hear from you soon. With love and the best of
wishes to all,
I remain, most sincerely, [

7/10/41 EC's letter to [
2519]:
Dear Mrs. [
2519]
Thanks for yours of the 6th - glad you like the reading.
Soon as I have a moment will try and give you some side light
on same - Have been so busy since the congress haven't hardly
known whether was coming or going. We are now about three
weeks ahead with appointments which gives you some idea of
how we have been and are rushed for time. Mrs. Cayce and
Miss Davis both remarked about your seal - how unusual it
was. Will read the reading over carefully at the first
chance and see what can help with. But every day or so get
it out and read some part of it, am sure much will come to
you, that will be really helpful - wish could talk it over
with you - Have had now some 12 or 14 hundred Life readings -
each are so different, yet, there is a general theme as seems
to run through them all. Principally this - we are here
purposefully - and not, as many say, because we can't help it
- there is a grand pattern for us to follow - that, of
course, is the Christ Life and it is what we have done, and
what we do do about it all that counts.
But will try first chance to take this up paragraph by
paragraph and see if can give you something to work on - of
course the answers must all come to yourself and respond to
something within yourself. Do you feel that it was talking
about you, that is the main thing.
Since the 4th have had nice rains - so garden and yard looks
better. Having a few vegetables now from the little patch we
have.
Tell [
1180] will be glad to hear when ever he finds time -
hope he will get things started soon to his satisfaction.
You must have had connections with several of us here about.
Understand that was [
1180] who went from the home - and you
looked longingly after, and have much to work out together
now.
But here are some waiting for me - will try and write soon -
best can.
Love to each of you from all here. With every good wish.

3/05/60 HLC's letter to [
2519]:
[Dictated San Diego, Calif.]
..., New Mexico
My dear [
2519]
My thought and prayers have been with you during this period.
I talked with the doctor who was with [
1180] and he told me
how quickly he passed [
2/24/60 Suddenly - on plane]. I am
sure you are happy that he did not suffer nor become
incapacitated. I can't imagine anything worse than [
1180]
being crippled up and unable to move about and stay busy.
This kind of quick passing, though a tremendous shock to you,
was certainly a blessing to him.
As I noted in my telegram to you, I am sure that you will
find great comfort in remembering how closely you worked
together and what a full experience this has been for you,
helping and working with him.
Sincerely, Hugh Lynn Cayce HLC:av
3/27/60 Letter to HLC; telling of how hard [
1180] worked:
"To me it was nothing but sacrifice [building up a business
with no money, no modern equipment, home conveniences, etc.]
but we had each other. He told me of a dream he had while we
were in Arizona of a pair of Siamese twins who had been
separated after more than forty years, each one having to go
their own way and how strange it was. We were married
forty-two years."
8/21/62 N/L to HLC from a male relative of Mr. [
1180]:
"[
2519] passed away this morning."
HLC said this same relative phoned him recently saying [
2519]
had cancer, had gone into a coma; he had a copy of the will
made by [
1180] and read part of it which stated he was
leaving 20% to E.C.F. through HLC.
