8/03/42 Letter from EC to Mrs. [
2526]: "Have yours of the
31st - my last letter to you must have gone a stray as I do
answer letters but believe sent it to another address, do
hope you will be feeling better soon - would suggest you
give those areas that give you trouble an extra dose of
the oil packs - know that is a hard thing this hot weather,
but if it will bring any help am sure you can and will stand
the discomfort for an hour or so each day until it is much
better.
"Then be sure and keep up the rest of the suggestions - don't
overtax your self - and most of all don't worry - but just
try and tell some mother how not to worry with a son liable
to be sent to the army - yes, we have a son [Edgar Evans
Cayce] in the Signal Corps. He just reported today to his
assignment somewhere in Fla. - we do not know just where the
other boy [Hugh Lynn Cayce] is liable to be called also at
any time - the one in Fla. was commissioned as an officer in
April.
"Just remember tho - 'Why worry when you can pray.' Thank
you for letting me hear from you, Mrs. [
2526], and do hope
you will be feeling much better soon. Keep very close to
the suggestions and feel that you will."
9/07/42 My skin is softening a lot. Seems like if my muscles
would loosen up I would be lots better, but they are too
tight and drawn. I suffer a lot with my arms and up in my
neck. The skin on my lower limbs is soft and looks well
but the muscles are tight. I can't get up and down very
good. I would like to have a ck. Rdg. sometime soon.
All the knuckles of my right hand are swollen and so tight
I can hardly touch them.

2526-6.
