This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of April, 1943, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [2454], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes - we have those impressions, those disturbances.
3. As we find, this is an upsetting more in the glandular forces.
4. While the body is improved, - we would give the body - daily - a hot and then a cold shower, or a hot and cold rubdown along the spine - when ready to prepare for bed.
5. After such a rubdown, massage into the spine, and across the abdomen and chest, pure Cocoa Butter.
6. This kept up for a period of five to six weeks should clear these conditions for this body.
7. Ready for questions.
8. (Q) What causes bruise-like spots to appear on legs?
   (A) The thinning of the walls of the circulation. Thus the vibrations that come by the radiation of hot and cold water, and stimulation of the spinal centers for an improved circulation; followed by the stimuli of the Cocoa Butter rub. And this, of course, should not be too severely given, - either the rubs or the massaging of the properties into the body. But these will act as food to superficial circulation, strengthening the walls of the circulating areas.
9. (Q) Should diet still be without sugar?
   (A) A little may be given, but not too much sugar.
10. (Q) What can be done to help control the kidneys?
    (A) We would give the body the carrot juice, beet juice, and occasionally - say once a week - the Jerusalem artichoke.
11. (Q) Why does he still take cold so easily?
    (A) As given, the poor circulation and the tendency for acidity in the system. Not proper coordination between the eliminations in liver and kidneys, see? And these - this radial activity of water, hot and cold, and the massage that will strengthen, should aid this body.

1. 11/11/43 See 2542-4, for which his parents were present and submitted these questions:
   Please give clearly the general physical condition, plainly stating all corrections to be made for the better balancing and alignment of this body. Should there be any change in diet? Are worms in excess present here? What causes gritting of the teeth in sleep? What causes breaking out like hives at times (which hurts very much). Should tonsils be removed?
2. 7/12/51 Mother [2454]'s report:
   My son would not allow me to give him the hot and cold showers - so that only the massage was given, however I did use the weak solution of grain alcohol for the massage on the legs. The how [hot?] and cold showers were tried - by [but?] the reaction was violent - so that it seemed unwise to force this part of the treatment.
   This treatment was kept up - off and on - for a period of about six months.
   We followed through with the suggestion for the kidneys - for a while (with the exception of the artichoke) - until he could no longer keep the carrot juice on his stomach. Later we have been able to [give?] the artichoke - and find that he like that - and the condition is greatly relieved, though even yet, once in a great while - there is a reoccurrence. When this happens, I give him artichoke - take liquids away from him for a while - that is reducing the amount taken - until the conditions clears again.
