Conditions in the general physical forces of the body show
a great deal of change. Many of those corrections have
been made, but there are still some unbalanced conditions,
especially through the jejunum and the changes in the
activity of the lacteal centers; and there are too many
pinworms in the body for its better welfare. This causes
the body to easily take cold, and unless changes are
brought about this is the type of thing that produces those
conditions so often seen in both men and women where the
effects of the pinworm have made the walls of the intestines
so thin that a rash is often produced on brow, on body, on
face. These are called conditions, "well, we don't know just
what they are", but this is where they arise, my brother!
Then, keep them cleansed from the system. Here, we would
get the small vermifuge lozenges - yes, or you may take the
properties in other forms if this is too disagreeable to
the body, but that's the best to begin with. Or, there may
be taken a small dose of calomel often. This, to be sure,
carries some of those properties that are very disagreeable
to the body under these conditions, though it would not harm
if one fourth of a grain is taken until at least four or five
grains have been used. Take 1/4 grain at a time and take
the whole quantity within two days - don't stretch it longer,
else we would have absorption of that which is the basis
of the calomel that is harmful. Then flush the system with
a vegetable laxative, having a senna base. Dr. Caldwell's
Syrup of Pepsin would be very well - but do not take
this until the system has had the four or five grains
of calomel, taken in very small doses often.
Then keep away from sweets. Do give the body elm water
often to drink, and a great deal of water prepared in yellow
Saffron Tea. Take Saffron Tea occasionally - this would be
well.
Give him all the chewing gum he wishes. If he swallows it,
it wouldn't hurt - might be good for him, if taken properly.
Do that.
Ready for questions.
(Q) Should there be any change in the diet?
(A) Just as indicated, keep away from too many sweets until
the body gets real well, and then he can go on a spree of
sweets if he wants to - but birthdays would do very well.
(Q) What causes gritting of the teeth in sleep?
(A) You'd grit your teeth too if you had all of these worms
gnawing on you!
(Q) Should tonsils be removed?
(A) Not unless there are worse conditions than in the
present. They are as scavengers for the whole body. If you
take 'em out it'll strain other portions of the system to
take care of this.
Massage the body occasionally with cocoa butter, especially
between the shoulders and back of head.
You have a good mind here. Take care of it.
We are through for the present.

REPORTS
6/25/44 Mother submitted these questions:
1. What is his present physical condition? especially in
regard to blood and body tissues?
2. What causes frequent bleeding through nose?
3. Should previous treatments recommended be continued; such
as cocoa butter rubs, cold showers, special diet, etc?
4. Give advice as to condition of tonsils and adenoids.

7/12/51 Mother [
2454]'s report: "Since it was during the
war - and impossible to get 'Vermifuge lozenges' - I gave him
calomel - with some good and some bad effects. I feel that
this had some bad effects on the kidneys - Not understanding
the nature of calomel - I was not as careful about keeping
him inside - and he took cold again. However, after a
comparatively short time - the spots on the legs cleared up.
The spots did come back again, so that in all I would say
that this treatment was repeated 5 or 6 times."
