This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the home of Mr. David E. Kahn, 20 Woods Lane, Scarsdale, N.Y., this 5th day of May, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [2557], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., Virginia Beach, Va., recommended by Mr. [2398].

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In undertone - [Sounded like] "Machean." [Medvezhi?]
3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as [2557].
4. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, much might be said to the entity, and for the entity, respecting the abilities; especially in "thinking through".
5. The entity is very positive, and once convinced it requires a great deal to change the entity from its way of thinking.
6. To be sure, the entity is an Atlantean - but not a Uranian. The astrological aspects are rather in Venus, Mercury and Jupiter.
7. Hence we find the mental abilities indicated in the positiveness of the individual, yet tempered with love to the point of becoming at times tenderhearted towards those things that may not always from the material standpoint be for the betterment. Yet this tempered with justice and mercy, patience and longsuffering, may bring to the entity those channels of activity in which a great deal may be accomplished; so long as those activities are in those directions in which the public is a part, - those conditions or things in which the entity would find a continued association or relation with the public, but as an individual way of approach. In these directions we would find outlets for successful activities materially, and an opportunity for the expression of those things for the purposes for which the entity entered this experience.
8. In choosing from the records here as we find them, these are chosen with the desire and purpose that this may prove a helpful experience for the entity; minimizing the faults, magnifying the virtues. This is also well for the entity to consider in its choice of relationships with individuals, as well as its activity in a more public way or manner.
9. As we find indicated from both the astrological and material sojourns, the entity is adaptable to conditions and circumstance. Yet these at times have played and do play a part in the entity's real experience.
10. As indicated from that of being an Atlantean, this makes the entity in material expression rather a realist. Thus there are the needs for the ideals being established as to its choices of activities in material associations, as well as in the marital or friendship associations. For, as Venus is a part of the experience as well as Mercury and Jupiter, it will require analyzing; not merely for the material profit but - as an ideal indicates - not so much as to that ye would like others to be toward thee, but the ideal manner for thee to approach others and their problems.
11. These become rather the associations of ideas and ideals, as indicated in the experience of this entity.
12. In Jupiter we find the great abilities in business, in active associations with others, in things as would have to do with individuals and their choices, their lots, their activities. These would be well for the entity.
13. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, - while all may not be indicated here, we give those that are the latent and manifested urges in the present:
14. Before this the entity was in the land of the present sojourn, during the early activities in the land, when there were the early settlings in what is now the area about Providence and Provincetown.
15. The entity gained in those periods of experience, yet the sojourn in that land was not of many moons - as counted by time in years; because of an epidemic during that period of sojourn.
16. Yet there was great advancement and development of the entity during that particular sojourn, because of the entity's abilities to create those activities among its associates and friends for the stabilizing of helpful forces for those not as fortunate as others, or a united effort on the part of each to become responsible for the general welfare to the whole group. Even though the period of sojourn was short, the entity supervised those activities.
17. The name then was Avenge Llewynn.
18. In the present from that experience we find the ability to make friends, the stubbornness also that is represented in the positiveness of the entity.
19. Before that the entity was rather in the land of the present nativity, in the southernmost portion of that land, - what is now Irquear, - where the entity was active during those periods of the changes by the invasion of the peoples from the oriental lands.
20. The entity knew material hardships; but its activities in aiding to keep a unified activity of the peoples of the land brought satisfaction to the entity, and saved much of the turmoils as would have been greater in the experience of the entity and associates through that period of activity.
21. In the present from that sojourn we find the abilities of the entity to organize special activities for the carrying on of welfare activities, or the activities in association with influences for bringing greater or better experiences into the lives or actions of others.
22. These may be used constructively or destructively. Use them rather in the light of the ideal which, as we have indicated, is the purpose of the entity's manifestations in this material plane; that as of the common good for all, and manifesting that as of being to others what ye would have others be to thee, - this in the constructive forces of material, mental and spiritual welfare.
23. The name then was Arben Kardelky.
24. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, when there were those periods of expansion by those activities of the Priest who had been in exile, and who made overtures for the preparation of groups or individuals for the new activities in that period of the earth's experience.
25. The entity was rather in those fields of service in which vocational guidance was a part of the experience, as would be called at present. Thus, again the entity was a helpful influence in the activities and in the affairs of the peoples of the time; advancing or developing in the mental and spiritual activities throughout that sojourn.
26. In the present from that period we find the abilities to judge individuals' worth, individuals' activities, individuals' sources of helpful influence, - these arise from the experiences there of the entity, then known as Ista-Habit.
27. Before that the entity was in the Atlantean land, when there were those periods that brought about the second breaking up of the land.
28. Those were activities in which individuals used nature's forces for selfish and destructive purposes; much as may be experienced in some lands at present - in most of the experiences of some earthly dwellers.
29. The entity was of those peoples of the Law of One, who chose to aid those who were in that form of the evolution of thought and activities in and through those portions of the experience in the land.
30. Thus the entity was known as the priestess for the betterment of the peoples.
31. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, - that to which she may attain, and how:
32. First, know thy ideals.
33. In those fields of activity wherein there are associations with peoples the entity may find an outlet for abilities, as well as channels for expression of its ideals, and exceed the expression of many others with lesser activities or greater abilities in some directions. Thus the entity may bring peace, harmony, help, aid, - physically, mentally, spiritually, - into the experiences of many.
34. Then, keep close to those activities that may bring the opportunity for service to others. For, the full law is: "As ye do it to the least, ye do it to thy Maker."
35. Keep the way open, then, for such activities.
36. Ready for questions.
37. (Q) Would you advise me to go into business at this time; if so, would I be successful, or should I keep my job that I have at present?
    (A) We would go into business for self. As we have indicated, the entity has more than the ordinary abilities for making a success of its relationships to others on its own account.
38. (Q) Or should I stop working altogether?
    (A) We would advise - for the outlet and for the expression of the abilities - to work in its OWN business.
39. (Q) Would you advise the millinery business or some other line?
    (A) As we find, whatever business that has to do with individuals, as to their needs and wants. The millinery business offers a wonderful outlet, and an opportunity for real expression.
40. (Q) Is it indicated that I will ever have children?
    (A) This may best be approached by the physical reactions (that is, by the approach through having a Physical Reading); but as we find, it is indicated that there will be children.
