TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions that may be asked.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2571].
3. As we find, in many respects the general conditions of the body are very good.
4. There are disturbances, though, that arise from the functioning of glandular forces in the body, - as related to the organs of pelvis. Also there are those tendencies for adhesions in the area just below the lacteal ducts; that tend to unbalance, as combined with a thyroid deficiency in one respect and an excess in another, or an unbalancing there that makes for a bad coordination in the flow of the nerve and blood supply through the medulla oblongata.
5. This causes the collapse, the spasmodic reactions - that would grow worse unless measures are taken to correct the conditions.
6. These as we find are the disturbances with the body, [2571].
7. We would begin, first, with the use of Tonicine. This is an extract with the thyroids as well as other elements that will act with the flow and regulate the activity of the glands of the organs of pelvis. For this body, in the present, take half a teaspoonful each evening when ready to retire.
8. At least once a week, apply hot Castor Oil Packs over the lacteal duct AND the caecum area; that is, over the right side, from just below the rib area to the groin. Use at least three thicknesses of flannel, thoroughly saturated with the Castor Oil, - warm when it is applied though not too hot, and then an electric pad applied - so as to forces absorption. Leave these on for an hour, at least. Preferably do these of evening, the day before the osteopathic adjustments would be made.
9. Once each week, on the next day after having applied the Castor Oil Packs the evening before - in the manner as we have described, have an osteopathic adjustment; to break up lesions in the area over which the Packs have been applied, as well as to make the corrections needed in the 3rd cervical and through the last dorsal and sacral areas. Shackleford, we would suggest. Take these each week until at least half a dozen have been taken.
10. Do these.
11. Be careful as to diet. Do not overload the body ever with sweets, or with carbonated drinks.
12. Be mindful that there are not exposures during or prior to the periods when the menstrual flow should react on the body.
13. Do these.
14. Ready for questions.
15. We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND

1. 8/10/41 She obtained a Life Reading.
2. 10/12/41 Father [2489]'s letter: "She has had in the past 2 weeks 2 spells as if in faint, of very short duration, and we of course are anxious to know the cause and the way to overcome the same."

REPORTS

1. 11/15/42 Father [2489]'s ltr. to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce Virginia Beach, Va.
   Dear Sir,
Some time ago we wrote you for a reading for our oldest daughter, [2571] which you very promptly gave and we took her to the doctor as directed and we can report, I think, that she was helped.
[2571] is now in State Teachers College at Harrisonburg, Va. and we hope in good health tho just recovering from a cold and we for one reason then another failed to mail the check for this reading.
While we were slow in mailing the check which is enclosed, please know that we appreciated the reading and think that you were a help in improving her health as we think she is better. Her Doctor, however has recently passed thru transition.
2. 12/21/51 Miss [2571], having become a dietician, [as a result of her Life Rdg.] wrote that she had read extracts from the EC readings on diet and found them quite interesting.
