This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of April, 1928, in accordance with phone request made by self, through Mr. [257].

TEXT

1. LBC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of same.
2. EC: Yes. Now, we find there are those conditions with the physical forces of this body that are causing distress. While that as has been administered, in part, will bring temporary relief, this is rather for the effect than the cause. There is seen that for some time back there has been the tendency towards the non-eliminations in the proper channel, and with the constant effect of an over stimulation to the kidneys has brought that of the uremic forces to be active in an improper manner. Not that this is as uremia, or uremic poisoning, but that of an over-active kidney gives to the whole system that of the improper distribution of eliminating forces in body to the excess of the liver and to the excess of capillary or the lymphatic circulation, and eliminations. Hence we have the character of hindrance through congestion in the intestinal tract, and a form of lesion as produces stitch in side. Pressure produced on nerves OF the limbs brings tautness and inactivity through the nerves of the limbs. Then the condition becoming acute, these are brought about in an acute form.
3. To meet the needs of these would be to set up proper eliminations. Well that the body rest for two to three days, and well that sweats be taken to start capillary elimination. Taking internally sage and saffron tea, hot - hot as can be taken - and sweat this THROUGH the body, see? These may be made in the ordinary way and manner as any tea - saffron and sage - and may be taken separate or together, but at least half a pint of each would be taken each day, and a sweat taken, see? THESE will set up elimination, and these will start PROPER eliminations through the alimentary canal. We would do that. Then we would have, after rest (for these will weaken some) - after resting for two or three days, proper stimulation osteopathically to set up the proper coordinating in the nervous system. Do that. We are through for the present.

REPORTS

1. 4/03/28 Mr. [257]'s letter: "...When I got to ..., N.C. I had not received my reading [257-26], but found Mr. [2597] in bed. He took sick the night before. The reading was perfect. One doctor said it was a stroke, one said blood poison. Now it's the gout. But your tea fixed him up and the diagnosis was as perfect as could be. Mr. Fred Seely sent his doctor over and he read the reading, so we are one step closer to Mr. Seely. I hope to have you with me in ..., N.C. on my next trip..."
2. 12/10/28 He obtained a Business reading, 2597-2.
3. 7/12/29 He obtained a Check-Physical reading, 2597-3, for streptococcus infection.
