1/12/42 EC's letter to [
2644]:
Dear Mr. [
2644]:-
Thank you for yours of the 8th - do hope you will give the
suggestions a good, honest, fair trial. Of course the
condition being of long standing may take a bit of time,
might be necessary to check on same, do not know. You will
know better than I about that.
Answering your questions from my own experience would be like
this:
1- Yes - plenty of water.
2- In moderation.
3- As a food yes, as a beverage no; that is, taken regularly
with whole wheat bread or black or brown bread, very slowly,
yes.
4- Yes.
5- With out milk or cream, yes.
6- There you will have to use your own discretion.
7- No.
8- Where, too, if you wish to give the suggestion a trial -
needs that you follow the diet, but use your own discretion.
9- The information rarely if ever calls any disturbance by a
name. You know whether it follows your feelings about same
or not, and should be guided by your own feelings in the
matter.
Hope these answer you for your own best interests, and do
hope you will soon see real help.
Hoping to have been of help, in HIS name
Sincerely, [signed] Edgar Cayce

Dear Sir,
I have received your message of love and peace with request
to set aside each day a period for meditation and Divine
guidance. [
1/08/42 See under
2678-1 Background]
I used to do so for many past years trying to find the cosmic
help that is so needed in cases of poor health as it is with
me and of so many misfortunes through the world today.
Sincerely yours [

Will start as soon as will receive the appliance.

Dear Sir,
This is the 14th day of my treatment and do apply the
suggestions in the best of my ability. I don't know what
causes me to be so tired since I did start it but it is such
a fatigue that it is impossible to me to do anything without
to be exhausted. My teeth too makes me suffer and I wonder
if the Wet Appliance as [has?] anything to do with these
uncomfortable effects.
Respectfully yours, [
2644]
P.S. Is it a history written by a doctor or simply written
by me that you like to have on my case and is it of all my
troubles since my childhood?
With my thanks [

2/02/42 EC's letter to [
2644]:
Dear Mr. [
2644]:-
Have yours of the 20th - No, you should feel much rested
after the use of the appliance, unless there is something
else that you are taking or doing other than suggested in the
reading, or that has been the experience of the hundreds and
hundreds who have used such an appliance. You are not using
the metals or the appliance in reverse, are you - but just as
was suggested? Don't keep the appliance on longer than was
indicated - 30 minutes.
Would like the report as by your self, your own experience.
Do hope you will soon be feeling much better, if not would
like to check up and see what is wrong.
Thanking you
Sincerely [signed] Edgar Cayce

Dear Sir,
This is the end of the first month of my treatment and I have
to confess that my condition is worse than it were at the
beginning. It is I think the massages that tire me so much
as it is nearly impossible to touch the back of my neck
without pain. I did strain myself some years ago and since
that time there is a protuberance on the left side of the
neck near the spine and some times I have unbearable
headaches during many days. I cannot even lay down on the
bed. My bladder and prostate also are in very bad condition
and I have not find any available treatment to this day to
relieve me of those awful effects whose cause is not easy to
determine by the science of medicine. I stop as my arm hurt
me too much.
Respectfully yours, [

2/18/42 EC's letter to [

Have yours of the 16th - sorry indeed to hear you are not
feeling any better, in fact possibly not so good. Would you
care to have a check-up to see what is wrong, if anything,
and what might be given, now, or not? Glad to try and do
what may, if anything possible can be done.
Do hope for the best for you.

Dear Sir,
Received yours of 18 Febr. Thank you for your prompt answer.
I do not understand about the check up proposition.
Please, explain it clearly.
Since I did stop massages on abdomen and neck I do not feel
so depressed for the past few days.
Respectfully yours, [

Dear Mr. [
2644]:
Yours of the 20th - often times we give check-up readings to
find what the information has to say regards application of
that suggested or any changes that may have occurred from
some treatment - I merely offered to try this for you if you
so desired - with the desire to be helpful if we might - but
if you are already feeling better by leaving something off
suggested possibly be best to leave as is.
Do hope you will continue to feel better.

Dear Sir,
This 6th week of treatment find me in the same condition as
precedently. My abdomen with some pain and constantly gases
that upset me seeming caused by the cereals that I eat every
morning.

Dear Sir,
This is the second month at end. I still do feel the same as
before the treatment. The same tiredness of the body and
limbs, head and bladder. Concerning the bladder the diet of
citrus do not seems to agree very well with my bladder I
think that it gives me more acid than usually.
Respectfully yours, [

2644]'s letter:
Association for Research and Enlightenment, Incorporated

Dear Sir,
Two and half months have past since the beginning of your
treatment and I must said that it does not look as a success.
What you seem to care is the effect of a cause as every
doctors did before you. To you it is my nerves and muscles,
as to another my stomach to another my rectum and so on ad
infinitum. All of you are playing ball with the poor unhappy
wretched that we are to you all and it does not matter if the
money that you make spend to us so easily deprive a child of
what he needs and a wife work like a slave with always some
hope that may be there is a being on this earth who will be
able to help her husband. Really, with so many years of sad
experience I become more convinced that what interest every
one is not a brotherly love as expounded so well on paper and
by mouth.
My arms and legs are as bad if it is not worse than before.
Sometimes I feel so tired that I cannot even go shopping
around the neighborhood. My throat with a bad taste that
come from the rubbing oil on my body. "I did experience the
same effect 4 years ago with the rubbing of a drug on my
vertebrae". My head is like going to burst and my teeth are
painful. All those symptoms are not new to me and each time
a new treatment produce the same EFFECTS of a CAUSE not yet
dianosticed (diagnosed?) and whose seat is in my opinion my
bladder which part of my body is disturbing me seriously for
many past years. The INFECTION is so rooted that my whole
system is disturbed and makes me so nervous and irritable
that it is a shame to be alive in such a condition. I know
that if my body is cleaned in a right way health will come
back to me promptly.
Are you the man to see that point better than so many others
before you? Can you prove to me that your PSYCHIC eye and
mind are to be trusted more than the physical eye and brain
of the doctors?
Respectfully yours, [

3/31/42 EC's letter to [

Dear Mr. [
2644]:-
Have yours of the 28th. Do not wonder from what you say of
your being discouraged. While the information as has come
through me, Mr. [
2644] is not a cure-all by any means.
During the 40 years have never known a case where any help
was promised, that they did that suggested but what that much
help at least was experienced. While never apply any of that
suggested, if it is done all suggested, no more no less, the
help has come. Why you have not responded I do not know.
Will be very glad to try and undertake further suggestions
for you if you like, but if you are convinced this may not
help - then there is little or no use in our undertaking it.
But if you care to try it we will be glad to try and help.
Make out a list of questions, and send them on. We will then
make an appointment and see what, if anything, may be
suggested.
Hoping you may receive the help desired
Sincerely, [signed] Edgar Cayce

Dear Sir,
Answering to yours of March 31st which you suggest further
test of my case I will submit to what you think is good for
my improvement.
You tell me to make a list of QUESTIONS and send them on, but
I do not see what you mean by QUESTIONS. Please, make it
clear.
My treatment finished on the 15th of April and my condition
is the same as I told you on my last letter of the 28th of
March although I did follow your suggestions very strictly
concerning the wet appliance the oil rubbing and the diet.
Respectfully yours, [

4/09/42 EC's letter to [
2644]:
Dear Mr. [
2644]:-
Have yours of the 7th - what I mean by questions: there are
evidently things you wish to know about your condition, why
this or that hasn't helped. Of course if you know all there
is to know about the trouble, then there is no possibility of
the reading helping, but thousands am sure have been helped,
and there seems no reason why you shouldn't - if there is,
you possibly know why better than any one else can ever know.
Will be glad to do what we can,
Hoping to be of a help in HIS name
Sincerely, [signed] Edgar Cayce

Dear Sir,
Have yours of the 9th, and thank you for your prompt answer.
It seems that you are shocked by my letter of the past 22d of
March. I know it was not nice of my part to write in such a
way, but, there are moments when I feel so despondent that I
utter such things not knowing what I said. I apologize for
it and hope you will forget about.
Contrary to what you think I know nothing about my case and
only surmise on it. I have seen many doctors and no one is
in accord with another. The last one who did treat me during
3 years could not do better than grafting some glands to my
abdomen to give me back some resistance, but, after a year I
am in the same condition.
I trust you and think that you can help me. Simply state
what to do.
Respectfully yours, [
2644]
4/13/42 EC's letter to [
2644]:
Dear Mr. [
2644]:-
As said before our whole purpose is to try and be of a
service to our fellow man. Thousands have been helped, am
sure, through the information suggested in the readings, yet
we never have, never can, promise any one they will be
helped. For am not conscious of anything as is given in the
suggestion at the time it is given, so can only judge the
results by what we are told by those who have applied the
suggestions consistently. It is in the application of the
suggestions that help comes. Families who had readings
twenty-five and thirty years ago, still ask for help for
other members of the family. Couldn't fool people that long
a time, could you? There must be an answer, tho, to each
within themselves.
Am making the appointment for the afternoon of the 16th -
3.30 to 4.30 E.W.T. Keep the hour in prayer and meditation,
would you gain the most, or that has been the experience of
others, and think it will apply to you.
Hoping to be of a help in HIS name
Sincerely [signed] Edgar Cayce
