(Q) What is my physical condition and how may it be
improved?
(A) In general we find that the physical condition is not so
good. Most of the disturbances are in their incipiency in
the present, yet we find that some are advancing to such a
state or degree that soon they may become VERY disturbing to
the body.
The general nervousness that is so often exhibited and the
inability of the body to adjust itself to the environs or
conditions that apparently tend to AGGRAVATE the body in many
ways arise from those conditions in the mucous membranes, and
especially in the soft tissue of face and head and throat.
And from these conditions there arises a general toxic
poisoning, which weakens the body so as to tear down the
resistances.
To be sure, these work in a somewhat subtle way and manner.
At times the body feels very good; at others there is a
general upsetting in the assimilating and eliminating system.
Hence disturbing forces are produced to the vital energies of
the body, so that there is a weakness through limb, feet,
face, lungs and head, and especially the digestion.
For helpful or beneficial results of a lasting nature, we
find that it would necessarily require applications over a
long enough period to eradicate the troubles from the system;
else just bringing about relief (which may be done in a
comparatively short time) and leaving off the applications
would cause the conditions to become really more aggravating
later on. For, it would tend to produce a great deal more
scar tissue or clots from non-eliminated tissue that will
have become as dross or dead tissue in and through the body;
producing those conditions in areas of soft tissue, - as in
digestive system, alimentary canal, liver or spleen, - that
would become as lesions; thus hindering the body in many
directions.
As we find, then, we would have a series of hydrotherapy
treatments with special reference to face and head, and the
application of low electrical forces as may be applied by
hand. Take these for a series of five to six treatments,
leave off for a week or two weeks, and then take another
series; repeating this procedure some three, four to five
times - which should bring bettered conditions for the body.
The electrical treatments would be those given at such a time
that the hydrotherapy applications are made, you see; applied
by the hands directly to the body, and especially to the face
and head and neck.
These we would take at Reilly's.
Refrain - for this body - from the use of nicotine in ANY
form!
Refrain from the use of fats, or fat meats of any character.
But DO take plenty of cereals, milk and ALL kinds of fruits.
Not too much sweets; and not ANY preparations where vinegar
or pickles or any acetic acid products are used in the foods.
Following these, we should bring bettered conditions for the
body.
(Q) What is my mental-spiritual condition and how may it be
improved?
(A) Increase the better physical forces, then the mental
attitudes and the outlook upon the general conditions would
also be much improved.
(Q) What can I do to improve my business and financial
situation?
(A) Improve the physical and the abilities, and then apply
self in constructive THINKING - as well as constructive work
in its associations with WHATEVER character of association or
work is applied.
(Q) Should I continue as a sales representative or should I
seek other fields; if so, what?
(A) As we find, these are good fields for the body, but
close in those relationships as we have oft indicated for the
body are the better channels for activity.
(Q) Should I marry?
(A) If this is desirable, but the physical being should be
better.
(Q) Should I marry any of my present acquaintances?
(A) This should be the choice of self and not from here.
(Q) Is it indicated that I will be called for military
service?
(A) It is indicated that you may be called, but it is very
doubtful as to whether you'll pass the physical examinations!
If there is the possibility of same, it is well to offer self
in such a service - or have such activities as to prepare
self for such an association or activity.
(Q) When will my services be most needed in the U.S. Army?
(A) Most needed now! But there's not much to work on as
yet, in this direction.
(Q) Would I be more valuable to my country in Washington or
in the Army?
(A) In the Army, IF there is the choice - or the ability -
to enter into such service.
(Q) What branch of the service will make me most happy and
successful if I am called to the Army?
(A) Be more capable for better activity in the branch as
related to the supply; especially of foods, though not in the
shelf department - rather the purchase of foods or the like.
(Q) If called, how long is it indicated that I will remain
in the Army?
(A) At least two and a half to three years.
(Q) Should I ask for a deferment?
(A) As indicated, you'll be more than apt to be deferred on
account of the physical than of other conditions!
(Q) Should my brother, [
257] try to place me in some defense
endeavor in Washington?
(A) If it is desired, but this - too - may be misconstrued.
(Q) Where can he help me most, or how?
(A) This depends, of course; and as indicated, it is best
NOT to interfere too much.
(Q) Should I try and represent the old ... Wood Products
Co., now called the ... Corp., at ..., N.C.?
(A) Not as best. In those branches of activity indicated,
or that already indicated as the sales representative, is the
better channel.
(Q) Any spiritual advice that will be helpful to me at this
time?
(A) THINK constructively, creatively! And determine in self
as to whether there are the abilities within self to be
valuable in reconstruction periods. Then reconstruct the
physical first, then the mental; and the spiritual should be
the basis of ALL such thought or activity.
We are through for the present.
