5/17/26 EC's letter to [
2660]:
Mr. [
2660]
..., N.Y.
My dear Mr. [
2660]:-
Replying to yours of the 13th, I should think that your first
question is answered rather fully in the reading that is
already given - that is, that your success lies in that of
being able to teach others, especially in the lines where
order is to be maintained, much after military discipline.
Now, you can apply that, of course, in many ways; but, in
whatever field of endeavor you spend your efforts, that same
thing may be carried out, whether as director of a sales
force, or a teacher in a SCHOOL, it would mean the same
thing, and that is the thing for you to consider and to
prepare yourself for, for in that line, or along that line,
you will gain more for yourself, and be able to serve others
better.
As for your second question, that I do not think I would like
to TRY to answer, for that is something every man should work
out for himself! Being able to be a good general, I
shouldn't think you would wish anyone to direct unless it was
to verify your already made conclusions. Now, were you to
put the two to-gether and say what would be the outcome, that
might be different, but I do not like to take such
responsibilities, for people often change their minds
regarding same.
I assure you though, Mr. [
2660], I would like to be of
service to you in every way possible. If these are not
answered to your satisfaction, and if I can be of further
help, I shall be very glad to do so.
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce [EC:GD]
