This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of August, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [2672].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Dr. T. B. House and Hugh Lynn Cayce. Born March 24, 1874, in Cleveland, Ohio.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the Universe, and the Universal Forces, giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth's plane, giving time, place, and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the abilities of the present entity and to that which it may attain, and how.
2. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, and those relations with the Universe and Universal Forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present earth's plane, with those urges as are seen manifest through will's force, also those urges as are latent through the experiences in the earth's plane, with those influences as are seen in the present life, with the abilities and that to which the entity may attain.
3. In taking the position in the present earth's plane, we find the entity coming at the time when there were many changes taking place in the affairs of the earth's plane, and in this entity we find one with the abilities, and contacting in the present earth's plane, directly and indirectly, many of those who have and will change the affairs of the earth's plane during the present era or age.
4. One, then, under the influence of the cusps and Pisces. Hence the condition that has often brought much trouble at times with the extremities of the body, and one whom water, in many forms, has played an important part in the individuals whom the entity contacts, of the life, in thought, in deed, in action, in real property, in real estate, and in many ways.
5. One under the influence of Venus, with Uranus, and of Neptune, with Jupiter and Mars occasioning by their conjunction with the beneficent influence in each. Hence we find one that is called eccentric by many.
6. One that has those mysterious ways and manners of obtaining information concerning people, affairs, places, individuals, happenings, conditions, that seems almost uncanny to many, and often the entity itself has been "put to", as it were, to understand self in this relation. The entity would make a good medium itself.
7. In those conditions as personalities, we find one pleasing, one easy to make friends and easy to lose them.
8. One that is ever ready to do a favor for friend or foe, yet is ever as ready to snub many that others feel the entity should show even preference for. Many who have found the affairs of the heart have often played to the entity at times as mean tricks, yet we find many individuals come under the influence of the entity, and through the correct guidance, as the entity has attained in experiences, both as respect to the occult and mysterious forces of the mental field, may be guided in that channel and way and manner that would redown [redound?] to good. Hence, as we see, in the affairs of the world, as a whole, the entity plays no small part, for many have been, and will be, the individuals that contacted, either the mental or the material mind of the entity, will be influenced thereby to change many conditions in the present era or age.
9. As to those conditions that go to make up the life of the entity, irrespective of the will's force (which has often been misguided in affairs of heart and of those pertaining to dollars and cents), the entity finds self often in many dilemmas, from which there seems to be no escape, yet, from unseen sources, there arises those conditions which - well, it's passed over - nothing has come - and yet it remains in the entity's mind as to WHY, HOW, and the answer has ever been - "It is! It is!"
10. In the appearances, as we find many of those influences as are seen latent and manifested in various ways:
11. In the one before this we find among those who first came as those peoples who settled in that country now known as Pennsylvania. The entity was among those of that religious sect under Penn. Then in the name of Dunden, and the entity gained in that period through service as the teacher to the inhabitants and to those peoples who came as settlers, giving self in much the manner as should have been, and should be as yet, manifested in the earth's plane. In the urge as is seen - the love of outdoors, and of flowers, and of shrub, and by nature much of an apiarist.
12. In the one before this we find in that land when the rule of the peoples were subjugating the new teaching of that of the Nazarenes. The entity then in the court of that monarch [Nero] who persecuted these peoples, often sitting in the view of those destroyed by beast and by the various ways of destruction to individual life. In the name then Angelian, and the entity lost in that period, for the self-aggrandizement of power, of position, of lording position over unfortunate and over those who would serve or manifest individuality. In the urge as is seen in the present - that latent desire to know the inmost feelings of those who serve a master, and of the reverential awe in the presence of any manifestation of such power.
13. In the one before this we find in that land of the eastern coasts, where the first peoples came into that land now known as Mongolia. The entity then in that position of the leader of those peoples who set up the separate rule in that day from the mountainous country. Then under the name Chucho. The entity gained and lost during that experience, gaining in service, losing in the manifestation of power lorded over others. In the urge as is seen - one loving fancy work. One given to art work with the hand, and a judge of minute carving and of miniature work.
14. In the one before this we find in that day when the division was in the country now known as Egypt, during the period of the trouble between church and state, as would be termed in the present. The entity then among those who served in the household of the Priest that was banished. Then in the name Chuchu, and the entity gained in that period for the service that was rendered to the young of that period, in the teaching of the ways of life.
15. As to that which the entity may attain in the present, and how:
16. As given, there are many conditions to be overcome. Many conditions in life's experience in earth's plane to be met in the present. There are many varying conditions, many hard to be understood by self, and understood IN self by others. The forte lying in that as given - of the occult forces as may be developed to the use of teaching and serving, rather than applying same in any monetary or lordly fashion. This may be accomplished through communion with self in the various experiences that self has experienced in the earth's plane, and apply same to the everyday conditions of the present age - remembering - in service, for in that law as given, "Though He were the Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered." In the application, we find that in service comes the joy of bringing about the day of the Lord.
