This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Halcyon Hotel, Miami, Florida, this 21st day of February, 1927, in accordance with request made the by self - Miss [2688], via mother, Mrs. [2415].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. and Mrs. Mohr, Mrs. Preston, Mrs. [2415] and daughter [2688]. Born November 13, 1910, in Gary, West Virginia.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the Universe, and the Universal Forces, giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life. Also the former appearances in the earth's plane, giving time, place, and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the abilities of the present entity and that to which it may attain, and how.
2. EC: Yes, we have the entity, and those relations with the Universal Forces - as are latent and as are exhibited in the present earth's plane. Many of the abilities are as urges in the present development of the entity, and should be taken into consideration in the entity's attaining that to which it may attain in the present earth's plane, through those abilities as are manifested in the present earth's plane.
3. In taking the position in the earth's plane, we find the entity coming under the influence of Jupiter and Mercury, with that of Venus and Mars in the adverse influence, with the conditions in Uranus and Neptune in the benevolent aspect to the entity's development. Hence we find these conditions as urges and abilities, irrespective of the will's force - which at times is well manifested in the actions of the individual - for we find one capable of expressing self, especially when in heat of passion or temper.
4. One that is ever under the influence of the higher and ennobling influences.
5. One that regards those conditions that bring about the higher elements of those conditions that would lift up, bring up, or bring into the life those that are of the ennobling nature.
6. One, however, that should beware of affairs of the heart, for these will prove to be very contrary-wise to the individual development and to the best interests of the entity; for in such conditions we find those adverse influences in the life; yet love and regard are those elements that may build the entity to the highest conditions in the earth's place - for, as is seen in the experiences in the earth's plane, those of the mental forces of the entity (which are of an exceptional nature) and reason, as tempered with love, will prove the better part of valor to the entity, and purely affairs of the love nature to the entity would be rather without reason.
7. In the abilities - that are as the latent urges in the entity - these lie in that of literature, and of lessons as may be gained, especially by travel, and especially those pertaining to that of the architectural nature; for those conditions in the life would bring the higher development for the entity in the field of commercial art, or architectural designing - whether of the wood, or stone, or of linen.
8. In the appearances, and the urges as are seen, the elements of those conditions as of the warnings would be: Beware of conditions that may come to the life in the twentieth year, in the month of June - and beware of moonlight nights during that month!
9. In the elements that appear from appearances in the earth's plane, and urges in same:

In the appearance before the present we find in that of the first settlers in the country now known as Cape Ann, and the entity was then among those who suffered under persecution for beliefs in the supernatural elements as manifested through individuals of the day, and in the name then of Doris Blande, and the entity gained - even under those persecutions - for the mind tended towards conditions spiritual, and the application of same in the lives of others. Hence we find the urge in the present of the study of any condition unusual, and especially those pertaining to conditions of the mind and of spiritual elements. Well that this in the present experience be carried farther, for with benevolent influences in both Uranus and Neptune - which brings travel to the life - much will be gained by the entity in the study of occult and mysticism, but temper same with JUDGEMENT.
11. In the one before this we find in the period when there was persecution in the French courts, and when the king from the foreign port was in exile there. The entity was then among those who would aid the king, and falling in love with the king brought destructive forces - through the conditions - to self. Gaining and losing, then, for in bringing to self those conditions that would have been as aid to others, the attempt to turn same into selfish purposes brought destructive forces to the entity, and those urges of which the entity would be warned in the present experience in the earth's plane. 12. In the one before this we find in the period in the Roman rule when persecutions again were given for those who believed in the new truths being taught, and the entity was among those that would give aid to those who were of the household of Tobias, and then in the name Thaias, and the entity gained throughout this experience in the earth's plane, for in the association with the teachers of the day, the spiritual elements developed in the mental and the subconscious forces of the entity - coming as tenets in the present experience, and well that every attempt be made to bring those building forces in the life of the entity, that these tenets of the Master may be made the basis of every such endeavor - for in Him is the light, and the light is the light of the world. In Him is the truth, and the truth makes one free indeed. Keep, then, in those tenets, for to the mind those letters of Thaias of those peoples and as the direct messages to the entity of today.
13. In the one before this we find in that now known as the Peruvian country. The entity then among those of the first people who brought in the sun worship to that land - coming to the land from the foreign shore, or the worshippers in the land nigh to the present residence of the entity. Then in the name Oicalniaeo, and the entity was then made the high priestess to the peoples, for the entity was worshipped as the highest in that period. Gaining and losing, through the application of the power attained over the peoples during that period. In the urge as is latent and seen, is the love of power, and the love of being well spoken of above others. Temper same, ever, with those tenets gained in the Roman experience.
14. As to the abilities and the attaining of same - as is seen, the urge is toward those conditions as given. Apply self, then, in that direction, keeping the way before self - as the first mastery of self is gaining the first footstool of divine guidance; and keep ever in that way that will bring to the entity, in self's OWN estimation, the highest elements - for when one keeps self in the closer relations with the Universal Forces in the Creative Energy, there is found peace and aptitude in the application of self's abilities.

4. 7/20/72 [2688]'s sister, [948]'s letter, included information regarding her family including the following: "My sister, [2688] was killed in an auto accident in Southern California in 1947! She had a life reading done when she was a teenager. I would love to read that to see if any pattern evolved..."
