2/09/42 Mrs. [
2174]'s letter: "I would like a Life Rdg. for a
little English girl of 5 whom I have taken under protective
custody for the duration. Her name is [
2690]. She was
born ... etc. I want to know what her tendencies are that
should be developed but particularly I want to know her past
relationships with her brother [
2691] and how I should attack
the problem of her relationship with him (which is bad for
her but worse for him.) She is so young I know I can have
her Rdg.
"I would also like one for [
2691]. He is ten and it may be I
should discuss it with him, but he is such a pathetic child,
like a dog at bay and using Nazi methods that I do not know
that anything would get through, and it is to help me with
the solving that problem as much as anything that I would
like the Rdg. I will try, however, if you say so. He is
exceedingly bright. Ask if he is better boarding at the
school with boys of his own age, or if I should bring him
home at night. He is now boarding."

3/28/42 Mrs. [
2174]'s letter: "Thanks for [
2690]'s and
[
2691]'s Life Reading. [
2690] has made [
2464] over. [Mrs.
[
2174]'s daughter, [
2464], taught in the school which [
2690]
attended.] I am thoroughly convinced that God knows best and
that he can manage much better than we ever could conceive."
1/06/47 Gina Cerminara wrote Mrs. [
2174] trying to get details
about the two children which she could use in reporting the
cases in her book, MANY MANSIONS. See letter under
