This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of March, 1942, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. [...], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2703].
3. In giving suggestions for help or relief, first there must be brought into the consciousness of the body-mind the desire FOR recuperative forces, in the correct relationships to conditions which have been and are existent.
4. There have been and are some resentments in the mental forces of the body, because of the incapacitation of the body itself. These must be eradicated, and the body KNOW that its purpose is to use its abilities in the manner in which it may best contribute to the well-being in and about the body at this time, under the existent circumstance.
5. For, He - having willed that no soul should perish - has provided ways, means and manners in which there may come about the expressions of the mental, even the physical well-being, in such a way as to be the greater activity in and unto the glory of the Father in Him.
6. In the beginning, then, because of these disturbances, let's do the first things first.
7. Read, very thoroughly, the 30th of Deuteronomy. See and know, as He of old gave, that this applies to thee; that there is the will, the power from within self. Know that there is the necessity for attuning the physical consciousness of those portions of the anatomical structure, that have become inactive and incapacitated; that they may be aroused to the awareness that each element, each corpuscle, each muscle, each tendon, each activity in the locomotory forces of the body may become the more active in its relationships to influences about same.
8. Whether such an arousing comes by mechanical applications or by operative measures, or by medicinal properties, know that it is the activating of the spiritual forces within the body that brings, that must bring, healing.
9. For, as the psalmist has given, - WHO healeth all thy diseases? Who forgive all thy iniquities?
10. These are the basis. And as we begin in this manner, and we create hope, the awareness, the awakening that such may be possible, - these CAN be in Him awakened. And we will bring again that influence which if applied in the body's experience daily will renewed life, renewed energy to those portions of the body distressed in the present.
11. Begin with the spiritual preparation. Read that portion of the Scripture daily, and meditate upon the thoughts outlined above.
12. Also apply daily, after the bath, a thorough massage of the spine and the limbs with an equal combination of Peanut Oil and Olive Oil, and a fourth quantity of Witchhazel; that is, in these proportions:

    Peanut Oil.........2 tablespoonsful,
Olive Oil..........2 tablespoonsful,
Witchhazel.........1 tablespoonful.

    Though these do not mix, shake well together and then pour into a saucer; dipping the fingers in same and thoroughly stimulate all the centers along the cerebrospinal system, gently but thoroughly; and those portions of the limbs where distresses have come.
13. Also obtain in the near future the Radio-Active Appliance, and use this daily as the body rests. Attach the anodes or plates to the right wrist, left ankle; left wrist, right ankle. Prepare it at least twenty minutes before it is to be attached to the body. Keep the plates clean. Do not bind too tightly, but keep well in contact. When not in use, keep the Appliance dry. Keep this on for an hour each day, and let it be the same period each day, to be sure. And use this hour as the special period for meditation; that there be that awakening, that awareness within of the purposes the Divine has with thee. This is to be that which will enable the circulations to be so stimulated as to RENEW energies through the body, equalizing the activities.
14. Even if you go to sleep during the period of using the Appliance, it does not matter; for even in thy vision or dream ye may be shown the way - as to what He would have thee do.
15. Keep up these applications for thirty days, and then further instructions will be given.
16. The massage would be given following the morning bath.
17. The Appliance would be used at whatever hour of the day is chosen as the period for rest and meditation, but let it be the same time each day.
18. Do these, and in thirty days from the time of beginning the use of these suggestions made here, we will give further instructions.
19. We are through for the present.
